Today, June 25, 2025 marks the 149th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Little Big Horn. The greatest victory of the Sioux Nation and their Cheyenne allies over the US Army. Next year will be the 150th anniversary of the battle and I will be posting on 1/2

@mirann_darrow @nobodyknows2322 I’m going to be pedantic but bare with me. The Totenkopf has beenn around since the 1730’s. It was used mainly by Prussian and German elite Calvary units as Victory or Death, then the Nazis came along and hijacked it for the SS. Now, recognized as a hate symbol.

@nobodyknows2322 The funny thing is that the iron cross does have a history, pre- and post-WWII, as a more or less apolitical symbol. They'll draw the hard line there but look the other way on the totenkopf, which has literally only ever belonged to the fucking SS.

Hey guys, remember this parable smug 'anti-fascists' used to pass around here circa 2019?

So my gay friend who might or might not have a crush on me simply refuses to acknowledge if I spot a random hot woman in wilderness. Like… I am not sure what to make of it.

@nobodyknows2322 Yeah Dave Portnoy is the guy that you want on your side if you’re a politician because of his platform but I think he stays out of politics for a reason. PS. The PE angle is Warren’s current boogie man. I have been around PE and can say that she’s kid of right but a lot wrong.

You know this is just going to whet Trump's appetite for humiliating Vance in public even further, right ? Hahahaha!!!!
Frylock@Blueelectron4

@nobodyknows2322 I think this is him throwing a temper tantrum that he doesn't want to defend the extremely unpopular stuff Trump is doing. If he spends the next month defending the Iran deal and slush fund his prez campaign is doomed anyway.

I feel like ferocity is probably the last thing you want in a surgery

Introduction…This Is My Final Word on the X Shitshow Listen carefully. I have dissected, eviscerated, and buried this subject with surgical ferocity. What you are about to read is not another fleeting rant tossed into the digital void. It is the autopsy report…cold, precise, and unforgiving…on a platform that seduced millions with promises of liberation only to deliver a more refined, more insidious form of control. This is my final word on X. I will not return to this corpse. I will not feed the beast another syllable of my attention. The chapter is closed with a slam that echoes. For years I watched the contradictions metastasize…the grand proclamations of free speech absolutism colliding violently with selective enforcement that protects the powerful and punishes the independent. The theatrical commitments to transparency rotting under layers of algorithmic opacity. The endless beta excuses masking a stubborn refusal to fix what any serious observer could see was broken by design…lists weaponized as harassment tools, intellectual theft rewarded by the very architecture of the platform, creators treated as serfs in someone else’s coliseum. I stayed longer than I should have, hoping the rhetoric might one day match the reality. It did not. It never will. X is not evolving toward the noble town square it promised. It is calcifying into something far more cynical…a spectacle engine optimized for heat, not light…for engagement, not enlightenment…for the comfort of the connected, not the sovereignty of the sovereign mind. And so I leave. Not with quiet disappointment, but with lethal clarity. What follows is the complete indictment…unsparing, data-grounded, and intellectually ruthless. It explains exactly why serious voices are walking away in droves. It exposes the structural failures that no amount of community notes or blue-check bravado can conceal. And it points, unapologetically, toward superior alternatives where writers actually own their words, their audiences, and their intellectual labor. This is not rage for rage’s sake. This is precision venom…delivered by a mind that has studied the machine from the inside and found it wanting. Read it. Absorb it. Then decide for yourself whether you will keep feeding a platform that lectures the world on freedom while practicing selective feudalism. As for me…I am already gone. You will find the real work on Substack…unfiltered, unthrottled, and uncompromising. Depth over dopamine. Ownership over exposure. Clarity over chaos. This is my final word on X. The rest of my words belong to better ground. And you're goddamn right I'm fucking pissed. I feel like I am being forced to leave behind many who I love very much but for integritys sake I can't and will not, continue to feed this beast. It's drained the life out of me and countless others. Grey out. open.substack.com/pub/lhgrey78/p…

@PNDXCTrack @Jimfrombaseball Matt Waldron w/Padres is the only one I can think of and that’s only b/c I see him working a couple weeks ago. He doesn’t throw it exclusively and it looked to me that he threw pretty hard versus a Charley Hough knuckles.

@Jimfrombaseball How many knuckleball pitchers are in the MLB right now? Any? Do they also have a pitch count?

"My Dad played for a coal-mining team in eastern Ohio; He was a very good pitcher. If he hadn't hurt his arm, he probably would have got a shot somewhere. He hurt his arm one spring when he didn't warm up good enough, and couldn't throw a fastball anymore. Another coal miner taught him how to throw the knuckleball. I remember going to see my Dad pitch against other coal-mining teams, and he was successful with the knuckleball. I saw how bad guys would look like swinging, and how guys talked about how he could throw every day and didn't hurt his arm. That's how I grew up learning. I never knew how to throw a fastball, never learned how to throw a curveball, a slider, split-finger, whatever they're throwing nowadays. I was a one-pitch pitcher." Phil Niekro. "Every time Phil Niekro pitches, our catcher Bob Uecker is the one who needs four days' rest." Paul Richards, then Vice President of the Braves, referencing the difficulty in catching Phil Niekro's knuckleball. "Phil Niekro and his brother Joe, were pitching against each other in Atlanta. Their parents were sitting right behind home plate. I saw their folks more that day, than they did the whole weekend." Bob Uecker.

@theoluminati You are allowed opinions. The government cannot come after you for an opinion. Sanctions are the law and breaking them can have consequences far beyond your average speeding ticket. My guess is they did this through Florida which is the worst possible jurisdiction.

@coldfoot666 I think the law itself is evil though. I don’t think we should have it. I think people should be freely allowed to bring stuff like medical assistance & food to people in need even performatively

all discourse on Hasan & CodePink aside, penalizing people expressly for delivering medical aid to suffering human beings & openly admitting that’s what the problem was is laughably, comically evil
Popstonox@Popstonox

Federal officials have subpoenaed Hasan Piker and CodePink's Medea Benjamin over aid mission to Cuba The Treasury Department has targeted the pair as part of an investigation into whether activists violated U.S. sanctions in delivering medicine and medical equipment to Cuba

@theoluminati Ummm, sanctions are sanctions and if you violate them, you are thrust into legal jeopardy. You shouldn’t drink and drive, and illegal and doing didoes in the cops parking lot after drinking a quart of Wild Turkey to express your displeasure will not result in policy reversal.
