@CODENAMEsx11347 The upside is, this is Warner Bros we're talking about. They've been Daffy Duck as Robin Hood since the 60s. They merge with a company, it goes south, get offloaded, do new merger, and so and so forth. Eventually the dice will roll on someone decent getting them.

@SuperZeldaGirl It's great as time goes on to hear more and more that other people enjoy Phantom Hourglass.
It's got it's problems, it's things that will work for some people, won't for others - but it has a lot of charm, a lot of cool ideas, and deserves with Spirit Tracks more love.

Toy Story 1 they wanted to change the world. Toy Story 2 they wanted to show they could make an amazing sequel. Toy Story 3 they felt like they had to rap up the story. We know the rest.

Just finished Toy Story 2 as I rewatch them all before 5 this Saturday.
While 1 will always be my favorite, I'm pretty sure 2 is the "Best" film in the series. Consistently funny, heartfelt and the last time we get lots of Ham, Potato head and the rest.
Maybe a hot take but, I also think this is the best looking film too. Noticeably better than 1 but the humans and toys had the perfect level of detail but not *too* crisp. Last movie where Buzz was truly himself too imo.

That's my completely subjective opinion, just think that it's not as great as past puzzles.

Being able to 'Cheat' it's a core part of this game though... You're not Link, who has to go through puzzles and fights bc he has no other choice...you're Zelda, the 'wise' one, with a friend that can literally bend reality at will!! the game *wants* you to outsmart its reality

The bad thing this game had was making every puzzle be solvable by using beds or any summon that gives you altitude

Anytime I watch this cutscene I think about how I put on a 3 hour video essay about why Wind Waker sucks one day and the guy ranted about how this scene ruined his immersion for a good 5 minutes. I couldn’t imagine having such a reaction

@NRLaPoint @wastelandJD There are a couple cringey moments in the film, but I staunchly protest this framing. It had a variety of kinds of humor in it. Even the cringey moments I find to be more of cringey 2000s humor than cringey Marvel humor.

It's like Disney could very well be in a far better, more respectable position in the animation ranks today if they would just start making movies like this again. I don't know, I felt that Disney in the early 2000s was getting somewhere w/ rather mature stylization and lots of grit before it all just... stop.

@junegrits And even then I still feel like this feeling still comes from being too weird. I was the teenage boy obsessed with merfolk, and that left me feeling really different.
I think of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs how Sam was genuinely nerdy about Meteorology to an "odd" degree

@junegrits I think part of it is a failed attempt to be relatable to people who don't feel like they're too different but are outside anyway
But the conflict there is not actually "they all hate them" but "the person has social anxiety and needs to learn self compassion."

That's why artie fails as an outcast for me he doesnt do anything to warrant the hame & he's conventionally attractive. It would be different he was an ogre like fiona or an goth delinquent like Gerard Way. He isn't even a slacker because we dont see him slacking off.

The thing is, if you're not depicting "the outcast" as being a pariah for unfair reasons (being fat, autistic, poor, non-white, queer, mentally ill, etc) then it just comes off like they're an outcast because they're an asshole who thinks they're better than everyone else
