President 🇲🇽 @lopezobrador_ has been trying to dismantle Mexico’s independent elections authority for months. This vague, noncommittal response from the US is disappointing. How far does Mexican democracy need to backslide to get @JoeBiden’s attention?

I've been pleasantly surprised by the renewed energy on Mastodon. The Fediverse has a lot of challenges and it will never be the same as here (for better and worse). People are really giving a go though. Try it!

The birdsite has not always been the best use of my time, nor has has it always brought the best out of me ... but I really value the connections I've made here and I'll miss that when it's gone. I hope to stay in touch with as many of you as possible.

As someone who has been a pretty hardcore crypto and web3 skeptic, I gotta admit that recent events have proven me wrong. I underestimated how bad it was.

@Iberia_en there's a glitch on your website that changes the birthdays entered to the 1st of the month (it switches the day to 01 when you set the month). Tried different browsers but bug kept showing up.

@chrisalbon When I first moved to the US the only warm gear I had was hiking gear and as a grad student I didn't have the $ to get another coat. So people made fun of me for "hiking" through urban New Brunswick for a couple of NJ winters.
