A little more walk through on a new forecasting script I created that ties together Python + FB Prophet + Power BI : ) Check out the script used in the community area on my YouTube channel. Greatly appreciate likes/subscribes there as well : ) Keep at it everyone! @BenMakesDataEasy-t1/community" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@BenMakesDataE

Forecasting is a game changer in the realm of data analytics : ) Watch me easily create a Python + FB Prophet + Power BI forecasting tool in under an hour : ) Cool factor 1 million.....maybe 1 billion!

In the latest version of the skills, you'll be able to tell an agent to convert a report to PBIR format or fix it if there are broken visuals. Here's an example of a legacy report from an old article that was all broken from me f'ing around with the model in demos.

New Video for the AI-Enabled Power BI Tester In this video, I walk through how to display test results from PQL.Assert directly in a Power BI report. This approach adds transparency for report consumers & helps build confidence in the data they're using. youtu.be/7dvr2CDjVh4

Power Query Lint got some great updates this month. New rules for string concatenation and column renaming, plus a new VS Code Extension with a GitHub Copilot agent that can lint and auto fix common issues. Curious how it works? Check out this video: youtu.be/iniih_-5TyQ?si…

No MCP needed. No VS Code extension needed. You don't need to install BASH and configure Claude Code. Install the AI Assistant when you upgrade to Tabular Editor 3.26, paste in the API key from the LLM of your choosing, and you are DONE. It just works.
Ed Hansberry@ehansalytics

The new AI Assistant in Tabular Editor 3.26 is awesome. It analyzed a model - finding a misspelled table name - and then created a C# script to add a measure to the model. I used a Claude API key. You should definitely give it a shot if you use Power BI.

NEW BLOG POST! "Should we process our data in batches or in real-time? It's not batch vs. stream: it's "when does the answer matter?" I decided to put down my own thoughts on both approaches and how they can be unified using #MicrosoftFabric capabilities. data-mozart.com/batch-or-strea…

Should you use DAX user-defined functions (UDFs) or calculation groups? The question is legit; the answer is that both have a role. For years, we used calculation groups as a surrogate for functions. But now that we have the real thing, we can use both, each one in the right place. Video and article:  sqlbi.com/articles/dax-u… #powerbi #dax #udf

I didn’t pay much attention to ROWS at first. Turns out, it’s pretty handy. It gives you the table created by the visual (only visible rows, no totals). Once you have that, you can filter it and use MINX / MAXX to find min and max within each group. Clean, simple, and avoids messy logic.
