@LavenderGhast The original RE4 is the only game in the franchise that is mostly a comedy, so that game is the shift in tone for the series. RE4R is more in line with other games in the series even before the 2 and 3 remakes. When I think comedy I think OG4, no other game in the series does it.

Shift in tone. This goes for the whole series, it always had some sense of humour about itself to break up the horror elements but that's been slowly bleeding out of the series as they aim for a more purely serious tone and it's taken some of the unique flavour from the series.

Outside of the Marathon vs Arc convo. I think this is a perfect reflection of the way streaming (especially from larger creators) is no longer about taste making and way more about trend following which is why I’m losing interest in the space as a viewer. It used to be super fun to find diamonds in the rough, but it just continues to be the same folks playing the same games with the same group of people. It’s kinda boring.

Successfully survived the Ninepenny Kings war (and knighted Aerys!), came home and cleared out rebellious Westerlands lords (in a war crimes kinda way) before he was even lord himself, before the age of 20.
