After the 2023 Grand Final Brisbane lost 367 games of NRL experience, and they weren’t given any sympathy for it.
Yes obviously what’s happened to Katoa and Tui are tragic and they should be treated as such, but blaming player movements on a downturn of form is funny af
.@samlutd
NAS 215 games Papi 113 games Anderson 52 games Ieremia 23 games Garlick 43 games Pezet 22 games = 468 games And then amongst others, we’ve got three centres and a winger out, and then there’s Katoa’s and Tui’s circumstances… and then to concede fifty? Well I wonder why
English

@BroncosRebuild @SulloReport So a stock picture of a dog from a viral video is the example, really
English

@BroncosRebuild @SulloReport genuine question did that really happen, i’m not having anyone has ever said a team losing a half partnership in a game isn’t a excuse to struggle and if they did i’m sure it was was faceless online paedophile
English

@SulloReport I had Melbourne fans in my replies telling me it was no excuse last year when Reynolds and Mam got injured in the same play. So as far as I’m concerned no excuses for the Storm
English

@WarrenSmithFOX it’s baffles me how people act surprised that Kiwi representative playing one the tactically astute sides ever is playing well it’s hardly a shock
English

@ChrisAndo5 @spannaforce To be fair to them they are missing Top 3 winger in tbe world, both starting centres both starting back rowers and the back up, Tui and a a few bench players. when you are making statements you need context
English

@spannaforce They are talking about it now actually they don't look anywhere near as good this season
English

@justnictings all depends on they schedule around Origin and as all 17 could be picked at the minute
English

@cmt129 @CamMagicMan @LeagueFreak to be fair Murray should be first name on the team sheet but i get the point your trying to make with the others
English

@CamMagicMan @LeagueFreak Remember , Laurie is the coach . So it will be Tedesco ,Nawaqanitawase , Tupou , Moses , Murray and Preston . Then he will explain that he was picking on form .
English

You know we are going to get to State Of Origin time, and idiots will say NSW shouldn’t pick certain Panthers players.
We should pick as many as the rules allow!

@OriginalKD7 @MagpieMediaX world football you mean, This is not just a English football problem, Football at this moment in time is the lowest skill/technique i’ve seen in my life time
English

@dozza718 @MagpieMediaX This is why English football is in this state..
All pace and power… no focus on technique..
English

Might be the slowest player I’ve ever seen and I watch Dan Burn every week
Football Tweet ⚽@Footballtweet
🐢 Is Kobbie Mainoo running in custard? What's he pointing at? The man who sprinted past him?
English

@OriginalKD7 @MagpieMediaX the way the modern game is played running could’ve the most important part of football
English

@MagpieMediaX Football is not about running… That goal doesn’t happen if Cole doesn’t lose the ball or covers the space Mainoo instructed
English

@RattLeblanc @JamesMMA10 @chadtownsend10 It’s hard to argue against that, Hughes has prob been the best half in comp over the last 3 years.
English

@dozza718 @JamesMMA10 @chadtownsend10 I agree, it's definitely harsh. I also think he's been the most consistent 5/8 in the comp over that period. If it's just a list of best players though, I would argue his halves partner has outplayed him most weeks over the last 3 seasons
English

Cleary
Haas
Munster
Walsh
Grant
Lachie@FeelLikeLachie
@chadtownsend10 Top 5 players in the game today
English

@JamesMMA10 @chadtownsend10 Last GF they win easy if Tui doesn’t drop ball on the line and the one before he was playing with no groin he shouldn’t have played, so i feel that’s a harsh assessment, also won 3 of the last 5 origins whilst being heavy underdogs
English

@chadtownsend10 Munster? He was non existent in the last two grand finals and has been poor in origin since 2020
English

@SimonWitt7 @NRL you mean the one where he lifts both his legs in a second attempt when the player is trying to gain his feet, it couldn’t be anymore of a 6 again, you also mean the penalty for making contact when player is in the air soft yes but it’s almost like that’s the rules
English

@SimonWitt7 @NRL just curious to what decision he’s made that makes you think that
English

@mark_robinson_ That Scholes offside was 100 times worse than this one, and this a terrible decision.
English

This & the Scholes goal that was disallowed for being offside against Porto are the two worst decisions I’ve seen at old Trafford that have gone against Utd.
Without these terrible decisions, United would have won two more Champions League trophies than they have

Zoba@Czooba
Commentator: what an awful decision by the referee. The night Man United was robbed at Old Trafford. That was never a red card yet Nani was sent off!
English

@GeronimoMorgans Tweets like this show how bang average football is at the moment when routine saves are being overhyped like this
English

@echarles81 @henrywinter Every part of this tweet is a lie, it was a penalty we okayed 5 days ago and we created the better chances, you know you going ok when people have to lie about what actually happened
English

@henrywinter Man United fans should stop moaning. It wasn’t a penalty. After almost two weeks without playing any game, you want depend on penalties to beat Bournemouth.
English

Decisions, decisions. Amad Diallo was a penalty. That gets given as a free-kick anywhere else on the pitch. It’s even more a penalty than the Matheus Cunha penalty (which was a pen, however “soft”). Amad was just less theatrical. Penalty not given. Wrong decision. Harry Maguire was a penalty and red card. DOGSO. Penalty and red card given. Correct decision.
Understandable debate over the decisions and inevitable frustration for Manchester United. But United have benefited from decisions that go their way this season. All clubs have these issues, examples, frustrations. The main issue here is …
1) General standard of officiating in the Premier League. Amad decision was poor. Even more investment required in grass-roots refereeing, in fast-tracking talent, in training up academy graduates who don’t make it as pros, and in continued work to improve further the Select Group refs. PL has some good officials. Just need more.
2) Football belongs to fans, not officials. Fans deserve to know what is going on in real time. When decision/incident being discussed by officials, audio should be played live. The authorities don’t want to, feel it places too much pressure on officials so content themselves with brief explanation when announcing decision and clarification on PL Match Centre. Fans in the stadium and tuning in pay a lot for tickets and subscriptions, respectively, and shouldn’t be kept in the dark.
Audio works well in rugby union and cricket (and acknowledging those sports have more pauses in play). l went to a VAR demonstration (not PL) earlier this week given by an elite official. Hearing the audio between officials gave insight into the process - and respect for what they are dealing with at speed, especially with players trying to con them.
You are never going to get complete consistency over decisions. There’s always going to be an element of subjectivity with so many incidents. But fans deserve more transparency and accountability. It might restore some trust. #BOUMUN
English

@Mike87_United I said attach time i think VAR give that pen if they didn’t score, they didn’t have the bottle to rule out the goal and give a pen though
English

@LukaDayLee3 @FOXNRL that performance from Todd Smith last night could be the worse i’ve see from any ref in any sporting performance i’ve ever seen and i have watch a ref in football give a player a yellow 3 times
English

🚨 BREAKING 🚨
The NRL's verdict has been handed down on Kotoni Staggs.
STORY 👉 bit.ly/4lGQgsV

English

@NOTLFCJ__ This is why referee standards will never improve, fans will always hold a bias rather than call out a terrible referee decision they’ll deny it as they don’t like the the ten that it happened to, the. when the same decision happens to there club moan
English

This is what there’s outrage over ffs not even Arjen Robben goes down from that level of contact
𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐚@CantonasMind
I still can’t get over how this isn’t a foul on Amad Diallo. How on earth does this repeatedly happen to Manchester United??? x.com/LowResReplays/…
English

@the_joshy_boy Nailed on sin bin but the following game Mariner did same and didn’t even have a penalty given against him
