@thdxr Grandma and grandpa gone since last year after they read "it's so over" for the 400th time in a minute. RIP and thank you for the pension, it pays off my Claude bills

@svpino People on LCD usually feel they can fly. Soon enough, they find out. Same shot here, but their suffering is way less than those of us who have to listen to them yapping about how it's so over

Last year, I met a person who has never written a single line of code in his life, yet he feels he can build anything he wants.
He told me point-blank:
"I challenge you to tell me something I can't build using AI."
I tried to explain, but I couldn't find the right words.
The most fascinating aspect of vibe-coding is how it has convinced so many people to believe they are better and more capable than they really are.

@kentohlund @KentBrenna80675 @jimmyfailla @grok Ben Hur is 100x more watchable today (60+ years later) than last year's best movie nominees

If the GODFATHER were made today it would NOT be eligible for an Oscar unless he transitioned to the Godmother and made someone an offer they couldn’t HEAR. You could still leave the gun but you couldn’t take the cannoli unless the baker supports gay marriage. RIP Hollywood.

In order to compete at the Oscars for Best Picture, all films must meet the "diversity inclusion" quota. Here are those rules. Yes, this is real.

@damekatydenise_ Noted, though here we say "feliz navidad". Also I can't remember the last time I asked for consent. Can you ask your mom? Maybe she does

@adamdotdev Getting dumber is a constant. So if anything changed noticeably, then it must be Opus
English

@goddek We have a similar one branded Ricardito. It even has a song used as an add that translates like "Ricardito, is the blacky that children like the most"
English

@r_marked Same here. But I guess that person doesn't know how to code and/or how to plan and/or how to design and/or how to read...
English

Using your brain, perhaps?
Nico@nico_jeannen
Any cheaper alternative to Cursor?? $1400 in a month is absolute madness, no matter the amount of code 💀
English

@CodingGarden I think you can ask @thdxr. He's been doing that for a while

@hr_unhinged I imagine you also reported him to the police for potentially possessing illegal material. Good job

In today’s video meeting, one employee’s background was completely different.
Not his usual bookshelf and plants, just a Zoom backdrop of a tropical island.
People notice these things, especially me.
During the call I asked him if he could take the fake background off.
He said he was working from his childhood bedroom since he was home for the holidays.
I told him that was okay, but transparency is one of our core values, and asked him to remove the background.
He said "Okay, if you say so," and removed the background to reveal a wall behind him littered with posters of scantily clad models.
I immediately asked him to put the tropical island backdrop back and apologized to everyone on the call.
I scheduled a 1:1 with him to talk about him sharing NSFW content with the team.
