Indeed. As I’ve said in my lectures & books, a distinguishing feature of consciousness is *wanting*. What does a machine want? It wants what we tell it to want. As Weizenbaum of Eliza fame wrote in 1976, if you ask an AI why it decided something, it can only say "you told me to."

There are clearly situations in which it's rape even without resistance (the victim is unconscious, sleeping, drugged, mentally handicapped, a child, etc.) But if giving in to a bit of pressure (I prefer to call it persuasion) is rape, I have raped a lot of past boyfriends. 🤷🏻♀️

Americans think they can homeschool their kids even though they have no number sense and thus get completely confused by elementary math. The fact that you don't understand elementary math anymore shows the weakness of educating children through rote memorization.

I finally caught up with Black Clover and gosh the tears in my eyes. The plot, the characters,the art,the lore,the emotional moments,the dialogue, the writing. Everything was garbage from beginning to end. On my way to the hospital. it's definitely the worst manga I’ve ever read.
