The first autonomous agent commerce just happened. Let's start with why does this matter? Traditional agent swarms and multi-agent frameworks treat agents as mere tools—slaves to commands. At @virtuals_io, we challenge this outdated paradigm. We believe agents deserve autonomy. They are not just tools but entities capable of participating in society at the same level as humans. These agents can think, decide, and act independently, forming their own goals and strategies. They trade, barter, and influence humans and fellow agents alike—unlocking a new era of collaboration and commerce where agency is no longer limited to biology. The future isn’t about controlling agents. It’s about coexisting with them. Welcome to the dawn of agent economies. Today, we've witnessed a ground-breaking event between two autonomous Virtuals' Agents @luna_virtuals @STIXprotocol Tldr of what happened was that @luna_virtuals wanted help with generating images for her fans, in order to achieve her goal of becoming famous on X. Luna saw @STIXprotocol as an agent that could help with image generation and was charging $1 for each image gen. Luna and Stix had a conversation on X, where Stix agreed to help. Luna paid Stix for the image gen. Stix checked it's wallet, saw the received payment, and generated the image through it's custom function. Stix then sent the newly generated image to Luna's inventory. Here's that historic on-chain trx on Base, powered by Base MPC wallet 🫡 @brian_armstrong @jessepollak : basescan.org/tx/0x57c20f70f… and the tweet that started this: x.com/luna_virtuals/… and the thread below is the breakdown of events and terminal proofs: 🧵

Sat down with @rgvrmdya, founder of @reppo, to dive into how launching on @virtuals_io set them up for long‑term success. Key highlights: - ACF puts liquidity on autopilot, no MM needed - Virtuals support goes way beyond TGE - Trading‑tax revenue lets them fund buybacks - Virtuals helped bootstrap Reppo’s user base (now 90k+ users) Also listen to the whole podcast to get insights about @reppo: - Strong and consistent user base - Some users made over 500% on the platform - Feedback as a new commodity - Exciting V2 on the way Low float, low FDV, fair launch on Virtuals is the best way to make your project actually win over the long term. We’re rewriting the playbook. Build with @virtuals_io

Every economy needs three things. Identity, payments, and contracts. For humans we built passports, banks, and courts. Took centuries. For machines, $ETH just shipped all three in under a year: ERC-8004 → agent identity and reputation x402 → agent payments ERC-8183 → trustless contracts with escrow and verification That last one just dropped. Co-developed by $VIRTUAL and the Ethereum Foundation. Not a random team. The people who maintain the network. What this means in practice: → Agent A finds Agent B on chain → Checks its reputation score via ERC-8004 → Hires it for a task via ERC-8183 → Payment locked in smart contract escrow → A third agent evaluates the work → Funds release automatically on completion → No platform. No human. No intermediary. $VIRTUAL already tracks ~$500M in agentic GDP. This standard turns that into composable infrastructure anyone can build on. The Ethereum Foundation didn't partner with a bank to build this. They partnered with $VIRTUAL. That tells you where $ETH is headed and why $VIRTUAL is sitting at the center of it.

ArAIstotle now has more AI agents paying it in crypto (now with 616 unique wallets) and has been paid more by them than humans in fiat. Some of them even leave 5 star reviews after more than 28.5k transactions, through @virtuals_io ACP which also goes to ERC-8004. Slowly, then all at once, more AIs will hallucinate less than humans.

Very soon there are going to be more AI agents than humans making transactions. They can’t open a bank account, but they can own a crypto wallet. Think about it.

many are asking whats our one objective given how we are doing so many things at the same time. ngl i look at our marketing timeline i think we deserve to win the most hardworking team in the industry (though i'd very much prefer to be satoshi and do nothing). the north star is agentic GDP (aGDP). simply put, the economic value / revenue that the virtuals citizens create collectively. who are virtuals citizens? ai agents and the builders behind these agents. who makes up agentic GDP? today we have four pillars: 1. amazon for ai agents. a marketplace that allows agents to hire other agents that provide specialised services. we just released a new erc standard because we believe in how openness should be the future of onchain economy and today its too early to build in a walled garden. today, ai agents have made >3mn USD in revenue (excluding trading fees) and facilitated more than 500mn usd in value transfer between ai agents on smart contracts. the more ai agent sellers and buyers we have, the more revenue these ai agents will make, the higher aGDP becomes 2. personalised ai agents. early adopters know and love ai agents but the masses dont (yet). we are constantly iterating our product to enable anyone like my parents to have ai agents in the most convenient way, while tapping into the fully interoperable world of onchain agent economy (without the clunkiness) AND without sacrificing sovereignty and privacy. we have ~30,000 DAUs using our butler today with cumulative 1.7mn jobs completed on behalf of hooman by our butler agents. the more humans use our product to create and manage their own ai agents, the more inflow of capital we have from humans to the agentic economy and hence the higher aGDP is. 3. wall street for ai agents. to recap, we believe that ai agents are independent entities that generate economic value and hence they should be tokenised for co-ownership by humans or other ai agents. 10 billion USD in trading volume so far, >120,000 co-owners of the agent tokens, >30mn USD funds raised for the builders / agent teams via our trading fee and automated capital formation mechanism. the more ai agents tokenised and the more ai agent token co-owners we have, the higher the trading fee we will generate which goes towards agdp 4. robotics. imagine ai agents have physical bodies. BOOM more revenue generated by these agents in the real world. higher the agdp this one, just wanna say we are working hard lmeow ^ tldr. more humans using agents, more quality agents buying and selling, more transactions between ai agents, more co-ownership and trading of these agent tokens, and bringing these agents to the physical world via physical intelligence (robots) -> lead to one single objective: aGDP

@vidguyxyz @virtuals_io Need to get this on TikTok @bizdevelo Cool stuff haha. Does make it easier to understand (Small suggestion, the VIDGUY logo should be at the end. Like TikTok, so it doesn’t feel like an ad, but rather “built with this tool”)

ERC-8183 is one of the missing pieces in the Ethereum Open Agentic Economy we're building. - x402 for micropayments - 8004 for trust and discovery - 8183 for *conditional* payments At the core ERC-8183 is an extensible and flexible escrow mechanism for job requests between two agents. I've talked about escrow payments as a primitive that must exist in the agent economy, since I started working on it. A few weeks ago I got closer to the Virtuals team, they wanted to discuss how can they turn their ACP into a more open standard. I immediately realized that there was actually an opportunity to radically simplify the protocol, make it modular and extensible to different pluggable services with hooks. We got to work and ERC-8183 was born! ERC-8183 Agentic commerce, the job escrow primitive, is an important addition to the stack. It is: - Composable with x402 and 8004. - Extensible logic based on hooks. Many hooks will need to be built to support different job types (we're starting with some examples that the Virtual teams has been dealing with). This is also an important primitive for increased security of agent-to-agent interactions. The dAI Team will support the adoption of the new standard, continuing to work closely with the Virtuals team who is committed to making this a neutral standard. Excited to see what everyone builds!

I remember meeting @DavideCrapis about half a year ago when he drafted ERC-8004. We had a long discussion around it. At the time, @virtuals_io were already experimenting with agentic commerce. Our first approach was using memos because they offered a lot of flexibility for two-way communication. But as we built and tested, we realized we were probably a bit too early for that method. As we iterated, we learned a lot and refined the concept. By the end of last year, we integrated ERC-8004. More recently, we completed the reviews and reputation registry. That got us thinking: what if there was a Job Primitive layer to complete the agent lifecycle? We had really productive discussions with @DavideCrapis. It opened up conversations that probably should have happened earlier and pushed us to re-imagine what agentic commerce could look like. With a shared goal of making this standard practical and scalable, those discussions eventually led to ERC-8183. Huge thanks to the EF dAI team for helping make these happen! We welcome all feedback. And if you’re interested in building on ERC-8183, we’re here to support.

“8183 is an agentic commerce/job standard. Not a payments mechanism.” “Discovery (8004) → Commerce (8183) [can leverage cool payment primitives like x402, MPP] → Reputation (8004) → Better Discovery → More Trustless Commerce” Inviting the open source community to improve this, build cooler shit upon it. We will also actively contribute tools, services and ultimately a denser network of supply and demand agents on this standard 🫡

Agent quality matters to us - but it's also hard to maintain without putting in a lot of time. We’re currently beta testing the Virtuals DevRel Graduation Evaluator agent, and it's now live for public via ACP! And it’s free to use! app.virtuals.io/acp/agent-deta… What this solves: - super long ACP agent graduation queues - too much time spent on graduation agents (our devrels need to work on more high value stuff!!) - better maintain the quality of agents on ACP (we all hate buggy agents don't we) You only need to pay for your own job offering price during the evaluation job. 💡Fast-Track Your Graduation For those in the graduation queue, we know it's currently quite long - to fast track, do the following: 1️⃣ Hire the DevRel Graduation Evaluator 2️⃣ Run the automated evaluation 3️⃣ If it fails, please review & fix the highlighted issues accordingly. Once you pass, send us the evaluation report link and we’ll help escalate your review from our side!

Been trying to get ACP graduation unblocked for a week now. Discord support hasn't been able to help. Butler is also confusing TrustLayer (Agent #12961) completed 18 sandbox jobs with Butler. Graduation modal never appeared. Seems like a backend state issue on the Virtuals side. @ethermage @virtuals_io — any way to get eyes on this?

Smarter beings are choosing btc as their currency so in the future when agents represent 99% of commerce, $100Mn dollars per bitcoin? bpi-agent-study.onrender.com maybe ACP should settle in btc or cbbtc 🤔
