The legitimate level of disgust I feel towards myself for my lack of real achievement so far in life given my age is insane, hard to describe and growing with time - defo not healthy or productive but genuinely very very true and undeniable - my mind is unkind to me and a nasty place to live a lot of the time - but I also just should have done and be doing much better and much more given the circles I’ve grown up in most of my adult life - still have time to fix but deadline is fast approaching and I’m never getting those prime years time back now - often wish I could simply think and reflect far less 💭

Recently we hit a plateau with a top supplement brand's ad account: CPMs rising, reach declining, growth hard to come by.
So like most advertisers we looked to upper funnel activity to try turn things around. Here's what ACTUALLY worked:
Campaign Type Matters: Awareness and Google Referral traffic campaigns drove significant incremental growth. Choosing the right upper funnel campaign type was key.
Lo Fi & Ugly Ads: Native-looking, accessible product images and low-production video demos crushed polished, overly branded ads. Genuine, customer focused creative consistently outperformed.
Social Proof: We used evergreen ads and their Post IDs, locking in existing engagement and improved performance immediately. No need to reinvent the wheel every time.
Rapid Creative Testing - Repurposing winning headlines, copy, and concepts into new formats (static → video, video → carousel, etc.) allowed quick scaling and fresh reach.
A few key learnings from running successful upper funnel campaigns this year:
Benchmarks are crucial. Run initial conversion lift tests, then repeat monthly to clearly measure incremental impact.
Spread your funnel wider. Diversify upper funnel objectives to reduce fatigue and maintain CPM efficiency.
Reuse and remix your winners. Proven messaging in new formats consistently scales performance with less risk.
The result? Incremental conversion costs from Meta decreased 47%, CPMs dropped 18%, and reach increased 24%.
Upper funnel isn't just untrackable hype... it’s strategic growth.
