@reasonablewlvrn Or you can just get a decoder box that routes through Kazakhstan…
I mean, if you really want to send a message, don’t pay.

@DrNeilStone @jonathanstea We did see a lot of cases of turbo COVID pre-vaccine, though.

Turbo cancer doesn't exist
It's made up by anti vaxxers to scare you off vaccines

"In a stunning case, a patient received 4 Pfizer doses. A year later, they were diagnosed with a rapid-onset colon cancer & passed away within 30 days." ~Dr. Kevin McKernan

@reasonablewlvrn Don’t worry. There’s a tiny and extremely fragile microchip in an exposed place that stops the arms from turning evil.

@TonyMarra_1 @iamdrmarklee @JasonD60 @IloraFinlay @Tanni_GT Don't get me wrong. I respect anyone who opposes MAID on moral grounds and lives that for themselves. Bonus points if you actually do things to help the vulnerable and suffering. But it is hard to respect double standards and outright hypocrisy in any context.
English

@TonyMarra_1 @iamdrmarklee @JasonD60 @IloraFinlay @Tanni_GT When transitioning to palliative/comfort care or withdrawing life support for incapable patients, families and physicians are critical decision-makers. But when a competent patient requests MAID, family members are clearly coercing them, while doctors only want to save time and $
English

The misinformation spread about Canada's MAiD is relentless. Opponents shamefully use the demonisation of Canada to deflect the discussion away from the bill in hand. @TonyMarra_1 is certainly not the only Canadian disgusted by the misinformation surrounding MAiD.
Nikki da Costa@nmdacosta
@thevicarswife His sister was also a campaigner for AS and lived here and went to Dignitas. Separate of his behaviour, his staunch defence of Canada and promotion of Canadian MAID sits somewhat awkwardly with DiD and Bill supporters saying “Ignore Canada that’s an outlier and not relevant”
English

@TonyMarra_1 @iamdrmarklee @JasonD60 Feel free to pass the references on. But they won't change the discussion because the opposition is based on personal moral views and not data. People are only able to accept the data that fits their views. Which is why they keep coming back to claim that there isn't data.
English

@iamdrmarklee @JasonD60 @TonyMarra_1 And before you ask about suicides and suicide prevention, suicides have fallen to multigenerational lows. And Canadians with disabilities are just as overwhelmingly supportive of MAID (including Track 2) than Canadians without disabilities.

English

@iamdrmarklee @JasonD60 @TonyMarra_1 3. Quality of Death higher in MAID (data in press).
4. Bereavement same or better. doi.org/10.1177/003022…
and doi: 10.1136/bmj.327.7408.189
And, PC involvement far higher than population average. MAID recipients more privileged by every relevant measure.
Questions?
English

@iamdrmarklee @JasonD60 @TonyMarra_1 You don't have to offer all treatments. You have to offer treatments that are within the standard of care, which can be defined in different ways including legislation. This is a basic concept, somehow missed by people writing long op-eds that miss the point.
English

@JasonD60 @TonyMarra_1 @jamesdownar That is not my assumption but under the NHS constitution if it is a 'treatment' we have to offer it. That was the basis on which KL made the statement. Re - self administration it still requires prescribed by a doctor.
English

@kinsellawarren @NightShiftMD Not approved in China, India, Nigeria…quite a few countries including a big chunk of the human population. We have a process for medical device approval like everyone else.
English

@JasonD60 @kesleeman Or indeed, mentioning AD at all in connection with a story that clearly has nothing to do with AD?
English

@kesleeman @jamesdownar What were you trying to convey with the "word" "acsherly"?

@JasonD60 A recurring theme in politics. People of a particular affiliation gutting social supports and vilifying the marginalized to support corporate tax cuts, then trying to deflect criticism by virtue signalling around MAID.
Defending rights by restricting rights.

I'm surprised he has time for it, I thought he was busy killing people in Iran.
