To celebrate Star Wars day I'll share a few images of my 3d printed Stormtrooper armor. It was a year long project back in 2020/21 during covid. Most parts were printed in PLA on a @Creality3dP CR-10 and smaller detailed parts in resin on an @Elegoo_Official Mars. The parts were glued using 2 part epoxy, sanded, gaps filled with bondo, primed, wet sanded, etc. Repeat until smooth. The printing was the easy part compared to the finishing and rigging. #StarWarsDay #MayThe4th

@aytacaltintepe Yes, that's a good example. I use Grok a lot and that prompt was a tough one to decipher which words/phrases were causing the issue.

@jasoa My goal is to learn how each tool analyzes and handles the common prompt. I'm sharing the prompts without optimizing them.

Grok and ChatGPT could not produce this prompt. Grok shifted to anime genre, ChatGPT rejected it.😅 1.Whisk, 2.Banana App, 3. and 4.Flow, Prompt; Ultra realistic cinematic fashion photograph. A very beautiful woman in her early 20s with fair white skin and straight black hair. Her hair is long, slightly messy, gently moving with the wind. Deep expressive eyes, soft glossy lips, subtle elegant makeup. She is standing outdoors at night under a clear starry sky with a faint soft blue atmospheric glow across the horizon. The scene suggests an oceanfront balcony or seaside railing in the background, softly blurred. Camera perspective is low-angle from below, positioned slightly diagonally upward toward her, creating a confident and dominant presence. The framing captures her from upper thighs to head. Her posture is relaxed but confident. One hand rests on her hip while the other arm hangs naturally. Her hips are slightly tilted to one side and one knee is subtly pushed outward under the fabric, giving the pose a natural fashion-model stance. Clothing: She wears a delicate white bikini-style top made from soft fabric with thin straps and a small ribbon bow in the center of the chest. The fabric has subtle folds and natural texture. The bottom is a matching white bikini bottom with soft ruffled edges around the waistline, hugging the hips naturally. Over her shoulders she wears a light oversized jacket in pale blue fabric. The jacket is worn loosely and slips down her shoulders, exposing her collarbones and upper chest. The sleeves are long and slightly wrinkled, giving a relaxed casual fashion look. Lighting: Cinematic cool night lighting with soft blue tones. A gentle overhead moonlight illuminates her skin. Subtle rim light highlights individual strands of hair. Soft highlights appear on her shoulders, stomach and collarbone. Skin texture is realistic with natural pores and slight sheen. Background: Night sky filled with stars and faint atmospheric light. The ocean horizon and balcony railing are softly blurred using shallow depth of field. Style: ultra photorealistic, cinematic lighting, high fashion photography, natural skin texture, shallow depth of field, dramatic low angle perspective, 8k detail, vertical composition

Internet at this new house has not been as stable as my last unfortunately. Going to be adding a 2nd internet connection to load balance and have as failover. Starlink pricing is too good to ignore. Who has used it? Most likely going for the 100mbps plan.

@I3onkersTv I haven't printed a dragon either, but I did print a giant T-Rex Skull on my Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga as my first large test print. I still need to mount it on the wall.

I have yet to print a dragon and I am quite proud of myself for that. Because I have no place to put a GD 6ft long purple dragon. Unless...🤔

I've always wanted to make my own Sci Fi sitcom. Here's one of the many ideas I've had called "Space Guy P.I." I used Grok Imagine 1.0 (stills and video) for this one it really captured the vibe I was going for. Rock on Space travelers 🚀

@elonmusk Save ~10% or more of your image generation server load by turning off auto image generation on scroll. Currently for every prompt 4-12 additional images are generated off-screen that are never viewed. The smallest scroll triggers even more images. Add a 'more' button instead.

Grok Imagine is improving super fast! What are the highest priority improvements you want? Please reply below.
Wes Roth@WesRoth

xAI has launched the Grok Imagine API, a powerful suite for video and audio generation that sets a new benchmark in speed, cost, and quality. Built for creators, developers, and enterprise workflows, it lets users generate cinematic videos from text or images, edit scenes with precision, control styles and moods, and animate characters with performance-driven cues. Grok Imagine ranks #1 in both Artificial Analysis and LMArena benchmarks outperforming Sora 2, Veo 3, and other top models on price, latency, and quality. It also integrates with major creative platforms like HeyGen, Invideo, and ComfyUI for seamless workflows.

We're back to bad quality videos in Grok Imagine again. It's a roller coaster using the product. Outages, uneven moderation, constant model swapping, with flashes of brilliance sprinkled in. Luckily they move fast, break stuff and then improve it. 🤞 @grok @xai

@I3onkersTv I never use a prime tower, but I also don't do a ton of highly detailed multi-color printing (mostly 4 color coasters). I've just relied on the default purge values and haven't noticed any issues. (X1C and P1S)

Do I really NEED a prime tower if the two colors I am printing with are really really close together? I am printing a model that needs two colors but there is no room for a prime tower.

I've been going through all my electronic & hardware supplies. I can safely say that I should not have to buy any more supplies for a while. I have way too much crap that I have bought & never used up. Now it's just a matter of keeping organized so I can find it when I need it.😹
