@tazweare Everyone made multiple horrendous decisions today. I feel like Tsatas' last few weeks of acceptable kicking efficiency isn't being undone today. Or is it the two way running? He constantly looks gassed

@tazweare I thought we were penalising players for dropping their knees and leaning into tackles instead of rewarding them. I guess not

@hasumpstuffedup Any other year and he drops the ball and puts his hands out on the fence to absorb the momentum and stop himself. Bro chose to fall into the fence for the free kick, but still it was an unnecessary push, FK definitely there.

@TheSadSainter Gonna need to know what else you've watched/enjoyed, and what did you think was the previous best movie of the year before gauging whether I should also watch. Drop that list.

@isobelroe Garbage culture company, if you can order from local business, unlikely as they wiped out, or might as well order cheaper on temu. We do.

@theredbrigade @isobelroe They already are half half on/offshore. Onshore skills are more expensive, and unwaivering in their commitment to quality. Quality is slow, slow is expensive.

@isobelroe ""It just makes more sense to do it in countries such as India where you have this kind of talent." Absolute rubbish. Projects are commonly returned to Aust due to the poor ability of Indians. Your expert is lying, factually incorrect & is biased. This is simple corp endorsement

I honestly hope I am everyone’s most hated Essendon fan on this app because I know my opinions are usually correct, well thought out and logical (they usually come from my old man). I have zero hesitation in calling out the club for their mistakes

@crazythainame @7AFL Nah, the speech was wonderful, the problem is that you can tell that channel 7 is just trying to film reactions and don't give a shit about the message.

This is a must watch. The great Michael Long's emotional, spine-tingling pre-Dreamtime address to the Essendon players 😤

@HeathLyons Tbf they've got two cameras in the room, one pointed at them, and one at Longey for their reactions. There's lighting, and a media crew. You can see the players glancing at the cameras.. I don't think they felt that the speech was organised for them.. and it felt disingenuous.

@Malk_AU Gets a lot of kicks, he wasn't great tonight, but the last few rounds I've noticed him attempting higher risk kicks. Gotta support that otherwise he'll never improve being safe. I know he screwed up a lot of safe ones too but he's having a crack 💪🏼

@grandoldgame I thought so too. But I'm starting to wonder whether the team needs big individual performances, or whether it needs everyone to chip in evenly. Would parish trade in 10 possessions for more midfield pressure so that the backline isn't compromised?

@Gameoverluke @DonCaldwelll I'd be inclined to think so if this kind of game/selection rarely happened. But it's always happening.. I think we've inherited a nice bottom out simply because our coach is incompetent. Whatever it takes 😅

Utterly embarrassing. Skill execution, decision making, game plan, NONE of it is working. Put this football program in the bin. Lost 23 of the last 24 games of footy.

@Jrod_Dons 80% of the replies don't get it. It's neither calling parish a champion, nor admitting we boo'd Pendles. Just an observation about the commentary after we boo'd the umpires that day. 👌🏼 How'd I go?

If the club fails to move on Brad Scott at the end of this season, then after 46 years as a member, I will seriously consider terminating my membership. The problems at the club now go far beyond the senior coach alone — there also needs to be a forensic review of the development department, line coaches, and the entire football department structure. This is my reasoning, and the numbers are damning. Results have collapsed 7 wins in the last 72 weeks. 1 win in the last 365 days. Brad Scott’s record 2023: 11 wins — 48% win rate 2024: 11 wins — 48% win rate 2025: 6 wins — 26% win rate 2026: 1 win — currently 11% The trend is not improvement — it is regression. Essendon coaches over the past 20 years — win percentages James Hird — 49% Mark Thompson — 47% John Worsfold — 39% Ben Rutten — 43% Kevin Sheedy (final years) — 43% Matthew Knights — 33% Brad Scott — 36% and falling For a coach brought in to stabilise and rebuild the club, those numbers are simply not acceptable. The KPI situation is extraordinary I have never heard of a senior coach effectively setting his own KPIs and presenting them to the board for appraisal. That completely defeats the purpose of independent accountability. It sounds absurd for a professional football club. Development remains a major failure Every year we hear about another review of the development department, yet nothing changes. Players such as Cox, Perkins and Jones have not developed anywhere near as well as they should have. The jury is still out on Reid as well. At some point the responsibility falls on the senior coach. Brad Scott, the buck stops with you. The game plan looks confused There is no visible consistency, identity, or cohesion. Week after week the system appears reactive rather than structured. Players look uncertain, supporters are frustrated, and the overall direction feels unclear. What exactly is the rebuild timeline? A proper rebuild usually takes 3–5 years, but only when the right foundations are already in place: elite assistant coaches strong development systems clear recruiting strategy stable football department leadership Scott effectively began this rebuild in 2025. So what happens now? Do we extend him until 2030 and simply hope things improve? Retention of young talent is becoming a real danger Do people seriously believe rival clubs are not already monitoring players like Caddy, Roberts, Farrow, Kako, May and Robey? If the club continues losing at this rate, young talent will inevitably start looking elsewhere for better opportunities, stronger environments, and more successful programs. The handling of Elijah Tsatas makes no sense Tsatas was a top-five draft pick and is out of contract at the end of the season, yet we still do not know whether he can become a consistent AFL player because he has never been given a genuine sustained opportunity. The facts are: In 2025, he had the second-lowest game time of any senior player at 52%. In 2026, he has the sixth-lowest game time at 70%. He has played only three senior games this season despite the club winning just once — and he played well in that win. His averages over the past two years show a massive gap between AFL and VFL opportunity: Disposals: AFL 24.0 | VFL 32.4 Kicks: AFL 9.7 | VFL 16.6 Contested possessions: AFL 7.7 | VFL 12.6 Uncontested possessions: AFL 16.3 | VFL 18.0 Clearances: AFL 3.7 | VFL 7.8 Tackles: AFL 1.3 | VFL 3.8 Centre bounce attendances: AFL 57% | VFL 79% This player deserves more than isolated appearances. He should be given the remainder of the season in the senior side so the club can make a proper assessment of his future. Instead, Scott has continued backing players such as Setterfield, Parish and others who have already had years to prove themselves and are unlikely to still be there when the rebuild is complete. That is not long-term thinking. It is short-term survival coaching. Many supporters have lost confidence in the current direction of the club.
