I think expanding the tourney waters it down a bit and makes it less exclusive, and obviously the bubble will be even weaker moving forward - and it was pretty underwhelming these last few years.

Only in 2000 & 2005 has the Big Ten had 3 elite 8 teams in. Both of those years they had 2 Final Four teams & MSU cutting nets in 2000.
3 Big ten teams locked in (ILL, IOWA, PUR) with MSU & Michigan playing today.
No conference has EVER had 5 Elite 8 teams.

Didn’t think his stats mattered on the final play. That lineup was a gamble on defending one final attempt. Not two.
