lesson in crackenomics: crack use is almost unheard of in Australia because cocaine is the 1st/2nd most expensive drug (depends where you go but for a lot of the time it’s #1 price wise.) due to the import costs and the inability to grow Erythoxylon coca domestically due to the climate needs for the plant to survive just not being comparable with our soil or weather, and a drug impossible to cultivate yourself is always going to be price hiked. basically because the cocaine itself is so insanely expensive, it’s not worth converting into crack cocaine. Who’s gonna pay $400 for crack when you can get the same amount of meth for $30? Completely unviable in the Aus drug market. So much so that we call meth ‘crack’ instead because there’s no risk of confusion anyway.
