This is why the Monken hire is a critical failure; You passed on Nate because Schwartz didnt wanna play ball as DC, instead wanting the HC job. Haslam wants to keep Schwartz in the building because of the respect for him, but your GM doesn’t want him as HC, so now you compromise. Monken gets hired; Schwartz still refused to play ball and now is taking his ball and going home. So now, you don’t get the HC candidate recommended to you AND the one thing you wanted to prevent (and knew you couldn’t) still happened. Dysfunction at its finest in Cleveland folks. #Browns
