19-year-old champion wrestler Saleh Mohammadi executed by Iran in a public hanging. Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi were executed as part of Iran's brutal crackdown on protests. According to human rights groups, Mohammadi was tortured to confess "to the capital crime of waging war against God." "His execution was a blatant political murder, part of the Islamic Republic’s pattern of targeting athletes to crush dissent and terrorize society," said human rights activist Nima Far. The protesters were accused by the regime of killing two police officers with knives and swords. “Jury is out” 😂 translation: reviewers rushed 3–5 hours, skipped half the systems, then dropped a verdict like they rolled credits. Same script every time, IGN and friends call anything with depth “convoluted,” say it “takes too long to hook,” then two weeks later players are 20+ hours in like… “wait this is actually 🔥.” “Single-player MMO” isn’t an insult, it means progression, systems, exploration… you know, actual gameplay. But if a game doesn’t hand-hold in the first 30 minutes, suddenly it’s “too much.” Meanwhile half the games they rate 9/10 are copy-paste, 12-hour cinematic tutorials with zero replay value. Not saying Crimson Desert is perfect, but acting like it’s mid before anyone’s actually lived in the systems is peak out-of-touch. Modern reviews aren’t reviews… they’re deadlines with opinions.

The jury is out on Crimson Desert. Turns out I was right. I know, I know... you guys hate when that happens. The consensus so far: • Exploration is the main draw • The game tries to do way too much • Feels like a single-player MMO • Story is trash • Mechanics are convoluted • Takes 8+ hours to even hook you So yeah, this is a very specific niche game. The kind some people will absolutely love… and most will play, think “yeah, that was alright,” and never touch again. And that’s fine. Not every game needs to be perfect to be enjoyable. And not everyone has to like the same things you do.

@oldalbus @JakeBaldino A 300 hour game having a rough early experience , does not make the whole game a bad game. I’ve turned around on so many games. Especially live service games w skill checks and learning curves. Unlocks etc.

CRIMSON DESERT starts rough. I honestly disliked the first 8 hrs. Once it opens up and you get more power + abilities, it's a TON of fun. So many gameplay systems but they don't feel cynical or half-baked. I wish there was a better story but combat/exploration hooked me 1/2

People refunding Crimson Desert at 78 review score has to be the new low in gaming. Wow! Either you were never interested in the game or you just wanted to be part of the hype & conversation. Anyway, those who have taken a leap of faith in this game like me, I wish you happy adventures 🍻

Entendo muitos irem pela nota do Metacritic, mas tô com 60 horas em Crimson Desert e pra mim o jogo não é um "77" Não é uma obra-prima dos jogos, mas o mundo aberto, exploração e combate são incríveis. A história é o grande ponto fraco. E até agora não enjoei nada do jogo.

Vou esclarecer uns pontos rápidos aqui pq sinto q esse tweet merece: Joguei a maior parte do tempo "do jeito certo" e depois fiz algumas sessões com esse "jeito ruim de jogar" pra ver até onde o jogo me permitiria ir assim justamente pq eu tava sentindo q n precisava fazer nada pra vencer. E esse é justamente meu trabalho: testar limites e ver o que só quem vai jogar por jogar as vezes n vai ver. No próprio post e no review eu falo q o jogo ganha um pico de dificuldade bizarro a partir da metade dele, e q tb achei bem ruim com poucas lutas realmente dando prazer, era dificuldade só pela dificuldade. E sim, o primeiro clipe do chefe é onde ensina o golpe, o q n tem nada a ver com o fato de q eu achei bizarro usar só o golpe pra matar ele e continuar fazendo isso por mtas horas até esse pico de dificuldade mencionado acima acontecer e pelo menos o jogo me forçar a esquivar e atacar corretamente. Sobre a nota Eu n tenho medo de dar nota baixa pra algo q n gostei MESMO, se vocês estão acostumados a ver review negativa com nota 7 aí já n é comigo. Joguei 90 horas pq é o meu trabalho (se joga de menos reclama, se joga de mais reclama) e digo mais: ta 5 pontos abaixo somente da metade, um jogo quase mediano e que pega nota vermelha por muito pouco, queriam q eu desse nota 7 pra um jogo q n gostei? Aqui n vai ter isso. Por fim, espero q vcs gostem e tirem uma experiência melhor do q eu tirei. Fui pago pra dar a minha opinião, a desenvolvedora do jogo me deu o direito de dar minha opinião sincera e foi isso q eu fiz. @KBrox0 I should have mentioned that. It's not AS BAD as I thought it would have been, but its absolutely one of the weaker aspects of the game. But this is not a game you play for the story IMO

My thoughts after 70+ hours of Crimson Desert. I knew right away that journalists would not rate this game as high as it deserves. If you're given limited time and need to power through a game like this to review it for your boss, you will resent it. In fact, I resented it after the first couple hours. But once I began to understand the systems, adjust to the controls and get a bit more comfortable with the game, it quickly became something I could not put down. I was thinking about Crimson Desert 24/7. Truthfully, the only real pain points of this game are the controls and systems and occasional clunkiness. But once you get some hours in, all of that goes away and you're left with a truly remarkable experience. No game before this has matched this level of wonder and exploration and this level of pure scale, while also simply being FUN to play. At first I thought that there was no way that they could cram all of these systems and mechanics into one game and make it feel satisfying and cohesive, but they somehow pulled it off. Take your time with Crimson Desert, be patient and intentional with your time with the game, and you'll be rewarded handsomely. 🌩️
