Now here is the part I want you to sit with. I was reliably told this was going to be privately funded. The President said so. The Press Secretary said so. The official White House social media accounts said so. They said so in July. They said so in August. They said so in September. They said so in October. And today, the senator chairing the Senate Budget Committee says American taxpayers will be paying 332 million dollars for it. This is not a small lie. This is a six-month, multi-platform, official-administration assertion that has now collapsed in front of the entire country.
