1. Kane Parsons’ film teacher was in the audience. Parsons gave him a shoutout at the end of the Q&A and he stood up proudly beaming. 🥹
2. Parsons excitedly saying, “I love corners!” during the panel.

This is so cool! I may be wrong but I believe this is Kane’s film teacher. Fun fact but he actually played one of the live action characters in Backrooms - Report!

Ok I haven’t been on x forEVER but I am now in intermission for #killbillwhilebloodyaffair and I just feel like I have to go back and say how much I’ve missed this movie. Everything Pulp Fiction wanted to be and mostly hit - this one hits all the goddamn time. #tarantino best.

@LukeBarnett @BrooksElms There’s simply no effective traditional business model to make small but successful movies that you can make a decent living on. Sure, you can get a surprise runaway hit , but that’s no business model. It simply takes too long to make a movie and too expensive to market it.

Let’s just say on a $10M budget he got a $100K fee. After reps (25%) and taxes, he’d walk away with like $40K. To live on for a year during production/post, and another 6 months of promotion. Sure, NOW he’s about to be offered crazy money, but most filmmakers aren’t nominated for Oscar. This industry is insane. You have to love it. It has to be everything to you.
