I bet if you took a poll of Kansas Citians, most would prefer to stay in a stadium like Arrowhead. It’s the Hunt family that wants to leave.

It’s crazy to think that the United States never constructed or even renovated any stadium before the World Cup started.

The US stadiums are mogging European stadiums left and right 😭

BBC just claimed this is Norway’s first World Cup finals goal since Rekdal scored against Brazil in 1998. This is of course incorrect, their last World Cup goal was Guro Reiten against Japan in 2023.

When will Americans learn that British people dont care about capacity and would take the ground on the left over the one on the right every day of the week and twice on Sundays?

It's crazy that Lumen Field isn't even the nicest stadium in Seattle. We really should have done world cup games at college stadiums.

Hollywood is at risk of becoming Detroit, advocates warn, unless the U.S. responds to the 81 countries embracing filmmaking as an economic tool. “I watched the demise of steel and rubber and automotive manufacturing as I grew up,” says IATSE vice president Mike Miller, who was raised in Cleveland. “This is identical in many ways. We have an undeclared trade war that our government is standing by and watching happen.” Read the full cover story on the mass exodus of LA productions by @GeneMaddaus: wp.me/pc8uak-1lHp4O

Exclusive: There’s bad blood between FIFA World Cup broadcaster Fox Sports and rival ESPN, sources tell FOS. Fox executives are frustrated at what they perceive as ESPN’s lack of coverage around the first men’s World Cup held in the U.S. since 1994. @MMcCarthyREV explains ⬇️

Mauricio Pochettino said that ‘American sports reward losers’ when asked about the style of play in top European nations vs. in the U.S. 😯🇺🇸 QUESTION: “We know how England, France, Spain play… Players from countries with a strong tradition have a recognizable style. What is the style of the US team? What kind of football do the Americans want to play?” ANSWER: “Their culture is playful. They want to play. We told them, “Guys, playing soccer is one thing, competing is another.” They’re two completely different sports. They grow up in a culture of playing. Why? If you start in MLS and you haven’t won a game in three months and you’re at the bottom, what’s the consequence if there’s no promotion or relegation, no international competition? American sports reward losers! But soccer is different: if you reward those who don’t win… If you don’t have goals, you don’t fight. If I lose, what happens? Nothing. They just fire the coach. Also, the American player is disciplined. But with a sense of complacency that isn’t good in soccer. It took us a year and a half to change that mentality.”

France look like they have no chemistry right now. Very out of sorts
