Statement regarding Mrs. Carrie Prejean Boller   In recent days, I have become aware of the removal of Mrs. Carrie Prejean Boller from the Presidential Religious Liberty Commission, along with the public accusations that have followed. After reviewing her account and the circumstances surrounding this matter, I believe it is necessary to speak plainly.   Ms. Boller has been treated unjustly.   A Catholic woman, speaking from a well-formed conscience and in fidelity to the teachings of the Church, has been publicly criticized and removed – yet no clear, substantiated reason has been provided. Such a lack of transparency does not serve justice. It damages reputations and undermines trust.   More troubling still is the apparent cause: that she raised legitimate questions about Zionism and defended the simple truth that Catholics are not bound to any political ideology.   Let me be clear.   The Catholic Church does not teach that the modern State of Israel holds a divine mandate that must be supported by all believers. Nor does the Church teach that opposition to political Zionism is inherently antisemitic. These are not doctrines of the Catholic faith.   At the same time, the Church unequivocally rejects all hatred toward the Jewish people. Every human person is to be loved, defended, and treated with dignity. But this truth must not be distorted. To question the policies or actions of a modern nation – any nation – is not hatred. It is a moral responsibility when innocent life is at stake.   We are witnessing great suffering in the Holy Land. Innocent men, women, and children – especially in Gaza – have endured immense devastation. To speak on behalf of human life, wherever it is threatened, is not political extremism. It is fidelity to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.   Mrs. Boller did what many are now afraid to do: she spoke.   She spoke for Catholics who are increasingly pressured to conform to political narratives that do not reflect the fullness of our faith. She spoke to ensure that antisemitism is not wrongly conflated with legitimate moral concern. She spoke for the dignity of all human life – Jew and Palestinian alike.   For this, she has been mischaracterized.   It is especially disheartening when such treatment appears to come, in part, from those within the Church who should be the first to defend the faithful when they speak truthfully and in good conscience. Shepherds are called to protect, not to abandon; to clarify, not to confuse; to stand with the sheep, especially when they are under attack.   Silence in the face of injustice is not prudence. It is a failure of charity and truth. Therefore, I express my support for Mrs. Carrie Prejean Boller.   I affirm her right, as a Catholic and as an American, to speak clearly about matters of faith, morality, and public life without being unjustly labeled or removed without explanation. I also call for greater clarity and fairness from those responsible for her removal, so that truth – not speculation – may prevail.   This moment calls for courage.   Not political courage, but Christian courage – the kind that stands firmly in truth while remaining rooted in charity. We must reject hatred in all its forms, but we must also reject the misuse of that charge to silence those who speak in defense of life and moral truth.   Let us pray for peace in the Holy Land – for Jews, for Palestinians, and for all who suffer. And let us pray for the Church, that she may always speak with clarity, charity, and unwavering fidelity to Jesus Christ, who is the Truth.   In Christ, Bishop Joseph E. Strickland

@ShaneSchaetzel @WellsJorda89710 Number one your definition of Zionism is based on a political model not the Abraham covenant. Secondly when it comes to Catholics supporting Zionism, you haven’t heard anything yet compared to what you will hear!

@WellsJorda89710 None of these Scriptures apply to the 1948 Israeli Republic in the Middle East today, and the American youth aren’t buying it anymore. Zionism is dead.

🚨Christians Are COMMANDED Throughout Scripture to Stand with the Jewish People & Israel — From Genesis to Revelation.🚨 God’s Word doesn’t leave room for debate. Here’s the biblical proof: Old Testament Foundation: - Genesis 12:3 — God to Abraham (father of the Jewish people): “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” - Psalm 122:6 — “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure.’” Those who love and pray for Jerusalem will prosper. - Isaiah 40:1 — “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem...” God directly commands His people (including Gentiles) to comfort and stand with Israel. New Testament Confirmation: - John 4:22 — Jesus Himself declared: “Salvation is from the Jews.” Our Messiah came through the Jewish people. - Romans 11:17-18, 29 — Paul warns Gentile believers: “You, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree. Do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches... It is not you who support the root, but the root supports you.” And: “God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” The Jewish people remain the root — we are grafted in by grace, not replacement. - Romans 15:27 — Gentiles “owe it to the Jews” to share material blessings because we have shared in their spiritual ones. The Bottom Line: God’s covenant promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are everlasting. The Church doesn’t replace Israel — we are joined to her root through faith in the Jewish Messiah, Jesus. To stand with the Jewish people is to align with God’s heart and promises. To oppose or abandon them risks standing against the God who chose them. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” Bless those God calls “My people.” Stand with Israel and the Jewish people — it’s not optional. It’s obedience to Scripture. ✝️🙏🇮🇱

PREDICTION: This is just a best educated guess based on trends and projections. I say Catholics will outnumber Evangelicals in the U.S. well before 2050. Likewise, I say Catholics will outnumber all other Christian denominations combined by 2100.

Dear @FatherAltman, First, name-calling is inappropriate for a priest. Second, you know your bishop has asked you not to present yourself as a priest while he investigates. Third, you have made schismatic claims & I have not seen repentance so I doubt you are part of the "real Catholic Church." Finally, if anyone here abandoned their flock, it is not @CardinalDolan, but you who chose such internet infamy over active ministry. Please repent & return to full communion & make the changes so you can return to active ministry.

Daily Wire finds a troubling pattern in Catholicism. The problem is, Catholics cannot be manipulated in the same way as evangelicals. Catholics are not Zionists. It is in Israel’s interests to have Christians believe they must be “committed Zionists to receive God’s blessing.”

@TaylorRMarshall @FredSimonTLM Just that these two bishops don’t fit your narrative! Boller is out of it when it comes to the people in the land of Israel nobody’s saying that you bow down to the state anymore than Jacob bow down to Esau.

🚨 Both Cardinal Dolan AND Bishop Barron have endorsed and written book blurbs for Fr James Martin, S.J. 🏳️‍🌈 Yet both bishops openly rebuke and dogpile onto a Catholic laywoman through a public forum like Twitter. This is effeminate behavior in both cases. Shame on them.
Cardinal Dolan@CardinalDolan

Below is a statement that my brother bishop, @BishopBarron – a colleague on the Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty –recently issued. His comments are characteristically clear, and I agree wholeheartedly.

Republicans will lose more Catholics. Over the last 2 decades, Republicans began to attract Catholic voters on issues like marriage and pro-life causes, but the rabid Republican zeal for Zionism and unjust wars will push Catholics back away. Seems like Republicans love to lose.
Shane Schaetzel †☧@ShaneSchaetzel

Zionism will absolutely destroy the political alliance between Catholics and Evangelicals in the United States, resulting in long term Republican defeats in election after election, unless U.S. Christians can come to a consensus of where it should rank in priorities.

🚨 INCREDIBLE — MUST WATCH: While Candace Owens & Joe Kent were mocking real Catholics, one of Donald Trump's most trusted advisors, Vince Haley, powerfully spoke out against "the tidal wave of hatred being manufactured" against Jews. As the White House's representative to the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast on the Feast of St. Joseph last week, Haley delivered a powerful message: "We in the Catholic Community in the United States have an indispensable duty at this time in our history... to render assistance to, and speak out tirelessly in defense of, our beloved Jewish neighbors and fellow citizens in the face of rising attacks and the tidal wave of hatred that is being manufactured against them." Now the head of the Domestic Policy Council, Haley has worked on all three of President Trump's campaigns and has been one of the few people to serve in the White House throughout all of 45 and 47. Most haven't heard of Haley, but those who know him would say he's decent, genuine, incredibly smart, and deeply loyal. He preaches about his faith primarily in how he conducts himself and treats those around him. In short, Vince embodies the ideals of Catholicism. So for anyone who may think that screaming at people over social media to "Repent!" or ranting about Jewish control of the U.S. might somehow exemplify Catholic values, please look instead at someone like Vince Haley. Someone who carries himself with such humility you would never realize from looking at him that he's one of the most influential people in America on numerous key policy issues. Haley's closing words last Thursday are beautiful, powerful, and succinct. May more people heed them: "Hatred toward Jewish people is ugly, despicable, an affront to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and surely an occasion of terrible grief for our Jewish Mother, Mary, and such evil should be condemned loudly and often by all people of good will, especially us."

Catholic Bishops need to WAKE UP. The chart below shows Americans who identify as Zionist. We've got about 5 million Catholics in the United States identifying as Zionist, and likely subscribing to an ideology similar to Evangelicals. I think it's safe to say most of this is just Protestant influence on Catholicism, and some of it may not even be religiously motivated, but some of it surely is. Bishops need to speak up about this. If you're going to condemn antisemitism (and you should), you should also clearly define what antisemitism is, so there is no confusion, then you should also condemn religious Zionism as incompatible with Catholic teaching. We Catholic apologists are starting to get tired of doing your jobs for you on this one. Please speak up!!!!
