@TheViviFox asexuality has been defined around sexual attraction for years
English

@NamesRHard310 I wouldn't define being asexual as whether or not you feel attraction. To me, it's more about whether or not you desire sex and that can take many forms from disliking it to being apathetic about it. Attraction, in this context, seems more like aromantic/demisexual in my mind.
English

@EvilsBaneX_1369 No, the orientation has been defined around sexual attraction for years.
English

@q_squared_ I thought “asexual” meant “without sex” as this is the definition of the word.
English

@q_squared_ This is an odd idea. I’d never heard it before.
English

@EvilsBaneX_1369 how does stating that asexuality is about whether or not you feel (sexual) attraction, not if you like having sex, changing the definition which is generally "someone who experiences little to no sexual attraction"?
English

@NamesRHard310 This sounds like a changing of the definition.
English

@q_squared_ Look buddy if a man calls himself gay I better not catch him sleeping with women
Otherwise I’m going to question his gayness and insist he’s atleast bi
I have every right to assume your sexuality based on the type of sec you are having, that’s what sexuality labels are FOR
English

@q_squared_ So you’re having sex with people you aren’t attracted to? That’s your problem not mine
You don’t have to do that, in fact you probably SHOULDNT do that
English

@q_squared_ “Asexuals can be hypersexual fuck machines”. Ok sounds like the term is completely meaningless then
“Amputees can have all their limbs” ass statement
English

@NamesRHard310 That’s just regular sexuality with extreme prejudice
You’re not special just because you aren’t a hypersexual fuck machine
Most people are not like that (I wish they were)
English

@q_squared_ Like, i try to talk alot with non binary people and the vast majority of them dont really feel like they fit entirelly in neither of the two binary genders, and there fore, it is kinda problematic saying you are saphic or achilean to those people, but this may aply to some...
English

@GuraRPG Okay, attraction to nonbinary ppl. So nothing to do with NBLW and NBLM.
It's not about physical appearance, it's about being woman and man. Some nonbinary people align with womanhood and manhood. Some nonbinary ppl include themselves in other people's attraction to women and men
English

@q_squared_ @YeetJones9 @Ray45653289 @butchmidas No need to get hostile. I agree and it was a genuine question.
English

@ElizabethA88984 you can just add "nonbinary" if you wish to include other genders
English

@q_squared_ the reason i say nonmen and nonwomen is to avoid saying lesbian is women and women only but i don't really have te best words
English

@lateshitpooner many ppl identify as nonbinary. I'm sorry that you're exorsexist.
English

@q_squared_ you do not id as nonbinary, youre either GNC and wanna be quirky or you have clinical sex incongruence about not having both sexes characteristics or neither of those characteristics
English

@covertkiramman @YeetJones9 @Ray45653289 @butchmidas or you can say "and nonbinary ppl" the way we used to
English

@q_squared_ @YeetJones9 @Ray45653289 @butchmidas Absolutely agree. Language is insufficient but we all know we mean cisgender or transgender men whose gender isn’t fluid at all. I know some transgender men who still identify as lesbians. I am not taking that away from them but that’s the easiest way of explaining it.
English

@goo_bers "you don't identify as a gender" - your comment I replied to
I didn't say anything about transmasc or transfem, I specified nonbinary men and nonbinary women because of your boy nonbinary or girl nonbinary comment.
these terms are primarily used by ppl with midbinary genders
English

@q_squared_ never said they don’t but inherently trying to force “I don’t identify with binary gender roles” people into gender roles is wrong. Transmasc/fem nonbinary are cool but they still don’t fit into into binary genders roles
English

@GuraRPG NBLW & NBLM mean nonbinary ppl who love women & men and you're saying "attracted by nonbinary" ppl... do you just mean that isn't sapphic & achillean?
there are nbi ppl who align with manhood & womanhood or prefer to call their attraction to binary genders by common terms.
English

@q_squared_ Wait, thats not what i said, i said that getting attracted by nom binary people is not saphic nor (whats the name of the mans atraction again?) their intire thing is not fitting in binary roles, so it doesnt make sense
English

@jaymitri masc and fem were the wrong words to use, and I think any nbi person can use whatever label, but achillean and sapphic definitionally tend to focus on a connection to manhood and womanhood, so nonbinary men and nonbinary women are more likely to be the primary nonbinary users.
English

@YeetJones9 being attracted to multiple "nonmen" is also bi (or other various multi gender attracted orientations). some ppl just don't want to id that way.
sapphic has always included bi women. (lesbian used to include bi women, but due to lesbian separatism it's currently exclusive)
English

@covertkiramman @Ray45653289 @butchmidas So sapphic means you like non men and men? Dont we have terms like bisexual, and pansexual for this kinda stuff? i could be missing something but thanks for trying to explain it to my blockhead
English
