For 12 years, I was married to a conventionally “nice guy.” He never hit me. Never cheated (or at least I didn’t know and we never had infidelity issues), he never even argued much. He was calm. Quiet. Agreeable. In the beginning I thought that meant I was safe, and I felt lucky to have him. Because other women had worse right? But this is exactly why the marriage eventually failed… His “good guy” image meant he never led. He never decided. He never carried weight. So I did. I had to step in and keep the boat rowing and afloat. Financially. Emotionally. Strategically. And eventually I was left tired, exhausted and resentful. Because “nice” without initiative is passivity. And passivity turns a wife into infrastructure. I wasn’t married to a monster. I was married to a passenger. And I had to step off that car that was leading me to oblivion.

@death2clankers @madsf88 Eh, I don't think so because physical products that we know have existed for decades when hyper-consumerism first took a foothold. There are probably countless detergents out there but you only know of the 10-12 on the shelf. It's about getting seen.

@madsf88 Well it depends on what your experience is. Having only two decades you don't have much professional experience. At the end of the day, employers care about money in two forms: revenue or reduction. If you can build something solving that, you're on the right track.

OK I’m a balls and strikes kind of voter myself. I happen to believe the current position of politics is more volatile because of Trump, but I think it was necessary because I found after the bush years every politician was full of shit right? So whatever you think of Trump, he has been like anti-venom drawing out the poison on both sides people that were dogmatic to the conservative or woke agenda of the last 50 years hated Trump and the one thing that I know is that I didn’t like where the country was headed, and it didn’t matter if it was under bush Clinton or Obama, we were being lied to the majority of information was being covered up, and media outlets were complicit. Trump has definitely changed all of that even though you may think he’s covering up himself the mainstream media certainly isn’t in bed with him, which is better than Obama and Clinton or Bush, even though they gave bush somewhat similar treatment to Trump just not as deranged
