You know, after that atrocious ending of Chainsaw man, every flaw of the part 2 is pushed to the forefront. It's impossible not to puke when you re-read certain moments due to the amount of hypocrisy and the despicable message that Fuji gave us in the end. And someone likes this?

Walk in a different direction. I don't know if this is what fujimoto was going for but i can only enjoy these pages if i think about it that way. I don't want to think that him going "OHH LOOK THEY CAN STILL BE LOVERS LOOK!!!" was his purpose. Denji hurt her and even though they

I kinda like the CSM ending. It has many MANY flaws and that's what keeps me from fully enjoying it, but the idea is nice. I wanna rant about the ending and some things of pt 2 in general too

Nothing matters anymore with the latest information. This might be the worst ending of a manga in history. We all were having copium and hopium but it turned out to be worthless in the end. youtu.be/FCVRIypHQXM

@McChiz76 However, unlike Oldboy, this is just a scene for the sake of a scene. A reference for the sake of a reference. It doesn't lead anywhere, and there's no reason for this scene. Will we learn why it happened? No. This is how Fujimoto's second part unfolds.

@bralternativo_ Очень здравая мысль. Современная медицина, благо, предупреждает о таких моментах и наконец-то есть возможность не давать страдать ни себе, ни ребёнку. Всегда можно попытаться снова и быть полноценной семьёй.

@plutoxcsm @BbBmight What kind of argument is that? It's like saying, "The chapter is called Chapter 2, so it shouldn't be a full-fledged story." Um, hello, 99.9% of books that have chapter divisions are full-fledged stories. It's just a way of structuring the text.

@BbBmight "obviously meant to be a completed story on its own" except for where its called chainsaw man part 1, and part 2 is called chainsaw man part 2. both of your statements are pulled from your ass and you present them as "obvious" no point in even engaging if you think like this.

you would think the analysis of a series would truly start AFTER its complete, but instead they disregard the information in front of them for their own preconceived ideas. people think fujimoto contradicted p1s ending when in reality we just didnt have the completed picture yet

Guy who thinks the point of Chainsaw Man is that "being the Chainsaw Man is really awesome actually" but Fujimoto is just such a bad writer that he kept contradicting his own point

The Chainsaw Man fandom has a bad habit of taking certain interpretations, theories, and headcanons, and then treating them as inarguable fact, and anyone who dares to question them is of questionable moral character. This is another blatant case of that.

People in the replies are so allergic to nuance. It's kinda embarrassing for them not to realize that MagmaSlasher is always right. Here's a thread on why being Chainsaw Man is in fact a good thing, and you've been gaslit by Makima and Barem.

"Part 1's ending was bleak" is such a pretentious way of looking at it that nobody would ever come to without the hindsight of Part 2's fandom convincing themselves "being Chainsaw Man is bad, actually". It reminds me of "You're not supposed to think Makima is hot".

Worst Ending for a popular Shonen Manga in the last 10 years Chainsaw Man's last volume had an additional 12 pages to expand upon the ending but most of them were blank as you can see. Fujimoto really isn't giving us a Part 3 and leaving us with this ending permanently..

Csm part 2 makes a lot more sense when you understand that the end of part 1 was actually really bleak and by that point Denji's spiral had already begun

I think there's a solid foundation for people to dislike CSM's ending Suppressing the memories of a character whose story heavily deals with repressed trauma, addiction, abuse, grief, hypersexuality and basically undoing the damage to send the anti hero/hero's journey message +

@ChibiReviews Noone still explained to me this crazy hypocritical moment from the manga. I mean, completely butchering the entire narrative just like that is...unbelievable. Guys, honestly, look at that. Look at that hypocrisy and insanity from Pochita. It's like so narrow minded...

Nayuta not liking killing doesn’t really prove anything, it just means it’s not really fun to her. That doesn’t contradict she doesn’t value human life as a whole or that she was fine with the idea of selling out to the devils if it benefited her and Denji
Yankee@YankeeLovesCats

First the asa shit and now this, give it a rest man And Nayuta isnt "just good in compairson to makima" she just... Is good as a whole. She acts bratty and started out weird but shes ultimately a good guy. She also doesnt enjoy killing people! Denji however, does

@YankeeLovesCats @genospsychosis Asa's NPC from World 2 still has a dead mother, father, and cat. Her traumas have not been treated. There is no world without bad things, and when something bad happens next time, noone will be by her side. The class will look at her with the same contempt. Fuji doesn't care.

@YankeeLovesCats @MagmaSlasher Who says "someone is wrong in his own story"? Noone. Of course, It's logical that for the author himself, he may be a "hero and an unrecognized genius." However, literary analysis and common sense suggest that this is not the case.

@MagmaSlasher "fujimoto is wrong about his own story and being chainsaw man is suppose to be good for denji. I know more than the author!" Part 1 literally ends with Denji convincing himself to keep going cause people love chainsaw man and he thinks he can get a harem from that fame

@Kishu0234 @plutoxcsm A literary ending summarizes the essence of the work and answers the question, "What was all this for?" The CSM ending objectively destroys the entire journey and common sense. To say that in this case, it's not, is to be an incompetent reader with no self-respect.

@rogovnin @plutoxcsm To each their own, the ending of a story does not ruin the journey for me. Also I treat stories as stories, if I did hate it, I wouldn't be annoyed about it for months. Its easy to move on when you got other shit to do
