@JoEllisReally Why do we even have male and female bathrooms? It's because men commit 99% of sexual assaults. When you walk into a bathroom people see a crossdressing man. They don't know if you are a 'safe' man or not. As a gay man most of my female friends treat me differently. They know me.

One thing I keep coming back to with bathroom bans is that removing trans women doesn’t remove risk. It only removes some perception of risk. Women can assault other women. Men can break the law regardless of signs on the door. Bad people don’t follow rules. In most areas of society, we accept that risk can’t be reduced to zero, so we punish wrongdoing instead of restricting everyone ahead of time. But in this debate, the standard sometimes becomes: if harm is possible, access should be restricted. That’s not how we handle risk anywhere else. Imagine driving privileges, guns, etc., all being handled that way?

One TERF complained that, theoretically, a trans person could take part in this course. As a result, the entire course has been shut down. Just another example of transphobia harming women

@GoodLawProject If 1000 women said that they wanted/or needed singke sex provisions why wouldn't their voices matter? Consent isn't transferable and many women have reasons why they don't want to be half naked around men. Religious reasons or due to previous abuse or sexual assault etc.
