Earlier today, @lgrb_uganda's Regulatory Compliance team held a stakeholder engagement with Casino operators. This engagement aimed at reinforcing the understanding of casinos’ obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Cap.118. During the engagement, Casino gaming operators were re-trained on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), with a focus on the upcoming 2028 mutual evaluation, the casinos’ statutory obligations and the repercussions of non-compliance. The Board also emphasized the need for operators to play their part in ensuring Uganda remains off the grey list. Operators were encouraged to comply with directives from the @ThefiaU and the Board, enabling the sector to achieve its highest level of AML compliance. #RegulatoryCompliance #ResponsibleGamingUg
