I think coaches talk way too much, generally speaking.
Most of it doesn’t help learning.
Notice more.... Talk less.... Spend time 1-to-1, not always in huddles....

There is something alarmingly sloppy about Newcastle in midfield. Bruno gave the ball away four times in quick succession in the first half. Tonali just doesn’t look right in any aspect of his game at the moment. Need to sharpen up in the second half #nufc

@ChrisDHWaugh Such a disconnect in central areas. Lack of combination play to get in behind.

If I have one suggestion for coaching/analysis courses/qualifications etc it would be to have an entire module on learning game insight from watching Lionel Messi.

@THEChrisKessell Understood but I would assume the cost of running/overseeing youth soccer in this country is significant and they prefer the ‘sub contracting’ to other systems.

Some very interesting ideas.
Would require @ussoccer to want to govern and lead.... I like lots of it... just like on the adult side, soccer in the US needs to be unified with everyone pulling in the same direction. Regardless of the plan... we all just need to be in it together

@_DMcDermott @kestrelpsych @CoachMattLA Look, positive and negatives to every action, yeah grandparents get to watch their kid but IMO, videoing 7v7 games is a net negative and unnecessary. Again my comment is more towards the youth sports industry than your decision making. Have a good one 🫡

Can someone tell me the benefit of using a VEO camera for 7v7? Are you really doing film analysis with 8yo? Do you think they watch it? Do you think they have any idea what you are talking about?
If this isn’t the industrialization/race to professionalism I don’t know what is!
