Mumbai is the land of the Koli and Agri communities. They are the indigenous inhabitants of this region. But saying Mumbai was "built" by them alone is simply not true. Modern Bombay grew into a major port city through the contributions of Maharashtrians, Gujaratis, Parsis, Marwadis, South Indians and countless others over generations. Mumbai was built by many communities. Not one. Jainism has deep roots in Maharashtra and across India. One of the oldest known inscriptions containing the Navkar Mantra is associated with Maharashtra and dates back roughly 200BCE. Maharashtra is also home to the magnificent Jain caves at , a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important Jain heritage sites in the country. Jainism is not a "Gujarati" or "Marwadi" religion. It is an Indian religion with a presence stretching from Maharashtra and Karnataka to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and beyond. The irony here is rich. This influencer himself is the landlord most likely sold his land to some gujarati builder in return for a lavish flat and money, yet now wants to frame a local dispute as a grand civilizational struggle. But turning every disagreement into Marathi vs non-Marathi or Jain vs Marathi is lazy activism designed to generate outrage, not solutions.

Mumbai was built by many communities. Not one. As for Marathi people being denied flats, let's be honest. A few cases have surfaced over the years, but politicians have milked the issue far more than they have solved it. For decades, Politicians claiming to be the sole guardians of Marathi pride have fought elections on the same emotional slogans. Yet somehow the "problem" is always alive when votes are needed and never did anything significant to uplift the community they claim to represent. The issue has generated more speeches than solutions. And now, instead of discussing a society-level dispute on its own merits, some people are trying to turn it into a Jain vs Marathi issue. That is historically absurd. Jainism has deep roots in Maharashtra and across India.

You may agree with Prasad on the white line issue, you may not. That's your choice. But this whole thing made me think about something bigger. Mumbai was built by the Koli and Agri-Koli samaj. Fishing is not just their job, it's who they are. And yet in some areas of this very city, Marathi people are regularly denied flats just for being Marathi. People are rejected just for eating non-veg. In their own home. This is not new. Even Pankaja Munde, a sitting cabinet minister, came out and said she was denied a flat in Mumbai for being Marathi. Prasad has talked about this before too. But he only really acted when it happened in his own society. A white line in one society got everyone talking. But Marathi people being denied homes in some areas of their own city, quietly, systematically, for years, somehow never did. The white line is just one small part of a much larger problem that has been ignored for far too long. Prasad's choice of words could have been better. But the issue he raised is very real.

This guy @prasadvedpathak has manufactured a controversy out of thin air. He's portraying a thin white strip, reportedly laid to help barefoot monks avoid scorching surfaces in summer and slippery moss during monsoons, as if common areas are being converted into religious spaces. The reality is that it's not even used only by monks. Elderly residents benefit from it too. What's even more convenient to ignore is that official permission from the housing society had already been obtained before the strip was laid. The building has 33 flats, of which only 4 or 5 belong to Jain families. The stripe was applied only after following the prescribed process and obtaining approval. The family involved also made their position crystal clear. They stated that if this small arrangement hurt anyone's sentiments, they would never do it again. It's difficult to find a more reasonable and conciliatory response than that. Yet even after these facts became public, this moron continued with the same aggressive rhetoric, using phrases like "cut it out now" and "I won't tolerate this." At that point, it stops looking like a fight for principles and starts looking like a performance for attention. I highly doubt he'd show the same enthusiasm when it comes to illegally occupied 20 foot Ganesh pandals blocking 30 foot roads every year. Speaking up there would get his ass thrashed. Bro seems perfectly fine with incidents of assault during Holi and animal being slaughtered inside society compounds, but a harmless WHITE STRIPE is apparently where he draws the line. No pun intended. Going by his media appearances and tweets, the fact remains that both his YouTube channels have been inactive for over a year. The Jain community is an easy target because it is unlikely to respond with threats, violence, or retaliation. Bro has 2 YouTube channels both stagnant for more than a year.

●The jain couple who made the white stripes with the intention of serving jain sadhu is clearly stating(in the video) that society commeettee had given him permission , which is an formal way a member opts for before doing something in society and not visit each and every flat. ●He is saying even after taking permission if someone feels its supremacy than they,ll remove it. They don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. The issue should have been ended there itself. ●Its quite visible now that the couple who is raising this issue is merely doing this for publicity and fame. They are trying to spread an flase narrative through which they divide jains and Marathi which is impossible. ●I was born and raised in Mumbai, in the heart of Dadar–Shivaji Park. Never in my life have I experienced any such conflict with my Marathi friends, neighbours, or colleagues. In fact, the bond we share is one of the strongest and most genuine relationships I have known. ●Do not let a few loud voices convince you that there is a conflict where none exists. The real story is not one of supremacy or division. The real story is one of friendship, respect, and harmony between two communities that have lived side by side for generations. ●Mumbai taught us to respect differences. Maharashtra taught us to live together. Let us not allow anyone to destroy that spirit for their own agenda. Jai maharashtra 🙏🇮🇳
