Invincible hurts me, because it has the potential to be great. It has 3 compendiums worth of comics and is a huge part of that loosely connected Imageverse. It’s a prime adaptation material. With it being a comic, it’s basically already storyboarded too. Instead, Kirkman decided to majorly cheap out on the animation, turn it into celebrity voice cameo slop, and make a bunch of baffling changes. It kills me.

Lo que la gente decide omitir cuando hablan de la "mala animación" de invencible es todo el contexto que tiene detrás. Cuando la comparan con JJK o con otros animes con animaciones tremendas, omiten el hecho de que esas historias son casi adaptaciones 1:1 del comic, las cuales solo se dedican a traer a la vida los paneles del manga casi sin ningún cambio y sin pretender sumar algo más. Invencible no solo es una historia mas larga, sino que encima la expanden mucho más, cambiando arcos completos del comic y aumentando el peso argumental que puedan tener. Desde que empezó la adaptación de Invencible, se tenía claro que MÍNIMO se necesitaban 8 temporadas para abarcar todo el comic sin cortar nada y seguir con el ritmo de historia que proponían (y suponiendo que para que la animación mejore tendríamos que esperar 2 años para cada temporada, invencible estaría finalizando en 2036, 15 años después de la salida de su primera temporada) Invencible ha sacado 4 temporadas en 5 años, mientras que JJK (y la comparo con esta porque la última con la que se abrió el debate) ha sacado 3 en 6 años con capítulos de 22 minutos en lugar de 50 como en invencible, pero esta última todavía no ha abarcado la mitad de su historia. Son capítulos de casi una hora de duración con temporadas que salen de manera anula y que tienen una historia ENORME aún por adaptar y que tomara al menos unas 4 temporadas más por cubrir, así que antes de tirar peste sobre la animación de invencible, tengan en cuenta todos estos puntos. No solo se trata de presupuesto, se trata de tiempos, planificaciones, expectativas y estructura. Pueden tener todo el presupuesto del mundo, pero si necesitan hacer una temporada cada año con capítulos tan largos, ni la casa animación más talentoso te puede salvar ciertas cosas. Además, dejemos de esparcir ese BULO de como un capítulo de JJK costaba solo 110K que eso fue una mentira que salió para desprestigiar a invencible, ya que apuesto solo la promoción del anime costó el doble que eso. Invencible tiene sus problemas, pero no tanto con la animación, la cual es bastante normalita. Lo tiene con el uso del color y la iluminación, ya que como demostraron en el último capítulo con Conquest, las luces y la colorizacion pueden mejorar muchísimo el planteamiento de una escena. Pero para mí, el mayor problema que tiene invencible es que aunque saque a pasear al comic cuando se trata de historia, visualmente el comic lo hace PEDAZOS, ya que hay muchas escenas que en el comic se sienten con un peso diferente, incluso mucho más dramáticas, mientras que en la serie parecen versiones descafeinadas. Por ejemplo el anime hace muy bien eso, ya que en el último capítulo de JJK adaptan un panel del manga de manera magistral, imitando el formato del material origen, especialmente para un momento tan icónico, cosas que invencible no pasa, quedándose con una versión que se confirma en adaptar el panel, pero quitándole un chingo de detalles. Amo invencible y espero con ansias que adapten todo el comic.

I mean, JJK is, in fact, better animated than Invincible. It's not just JJK, however; even Western productions like Avatar/Hazbin Hotel have better animation. We dont even have to get into the budget allocation issues. I generally like the main voice cast of invincible but being honest, there is no reason to hire on-screen celebrities to voice background/side characters.
