The Atlanta Braves win their 10th series of the year but it ended on a sour note.
Austin Riley, Ronald Acuña and Mike Yastrzemski are entering May and still haven’t figured it out.
Ronnie and Riley went 1/9 today with 5K and stranded 6 base runners. That’s a hard way to beat a good left handed starter.
Acuña has a 70 wRC+ with RISP
Acuña vs the 4 seam- .125BA .156SLG
Riley has a .575 OPS the last 2 weeks.
Yas has a .546 OPS
Something has to give ^ if they want the winning to continue these other guys are eventually going to cool off and slump.
This is the second game in a week where poor defensive from Eli White and Mike Yastrzemski has cost them dearly and those are two guys who are suppose to provide plus defense around the outfield.
They are going to see multiple LHP this weekend so maybe they’ll get them going but it’s ugly for those two right now to say the least.
Joel Payamps and Aaron Bummer have to go trying anyone else wouldn’t be a downgrade and maybe an upgrade.
The Atlanta Braves are 22-10 and in fantastic shape things are great there’s just some stuff around the edges to figure out and a couple of guys that have to get going.
The head to Colorado now and play in that circus of a ball park against a much improved Rockies club. This will be another big test for them, a veteran team needs to wash this ugly loss and bounce back big tomorrow night.

@UGASPIKESQUAD Austin’s avg is around .197. Acuna’s is .241 approximately. A .04 difference. Both are terrible but we only see static about Riley. Not Acuna just as bad AND in the leadoff. Why doesn’t anyone want to talk out loud about Acuna’s performance…or lack of it.
