@usa_retro The fact that L1310 melted suggests excessive current was likely flowing through it. L1310 is connected to the blanking input that enables OSD on jungle. I would double-check to ensure there are no accidental shorts. BA-5 is also particularly sensitive to static damage.

@CP24 It might be what AC is *supposed* to do, but from first hand experience, they don’t. When a delta flight crashed at Pearson, AC cancelled, promised a rebook & ghosted. Left us stranded in another country & having to find a flight. 6M later & we are still fighting for every penny.

Keep record of why they are not able to fulfill. After your trip, submit your claim to AC. If they reject > small claims court. You win! Refund, you lose.

@suntharsector @Shuayb__ @AirCanada Can’t even get the refund. At first they didn’t want to give full refund only partial and not the taxes. Then later it switched to full but website keeps crashing ever time we press we want the refund. Took a year to get refund during covid. They are crooks.

If there were more competition, this strike wouldn’t have been an issue for Canadians. Unfortunately our government encourages monopolistic behaviour - I wonder why?

My credit card said they'd give wife and me a $250 each for a delayed flight, that's it. Trip cancellation cannot be enforced because it's a strike so special rules apply apparently

@DennisS28196098 @AirCanada I actually got the check-in notification 24 hours before the flight so I thought I was lucky. Then about 5 hours later they sent the cancellation notice. Don’t worry @AirCanada, I will be filing a lawsuit in small claims court upon my return. This is beyond unacceptable.

@AirCanada Either cancel all the flights and actually announce it, or give people refunds in cash so they can rebook properly. Why is it that airlines get this wrong every time

My summer student’s last day is today and she was supposed to fly to Vancouver alone one way tonight from Toronto to go back to school but your text message to her said there were no available flights to rebook her on while you try to push a refund on her. We see flights available online. She needs to get there by Sunday morning. Why are you trying to rip off your customers on the backs of your flight attendants? Contact me ASAP!

@ChrisKFilms @GumptionAndCo @ZzyzxCA @AirCanada After you record yourself talking to the agent requesting flights at the airport (and on phone hopefully record the call) book new flights yourself then file for a refund. They will likely decline. Take them to small claims court. This is what I did and got my refund 6 months
