Multi-calendar life is messy. Personal on iCloud, work on Google, clients on Outlook. The dream? One scheduler that sees everything without breaking what already works. Sometimes the perfect solution is the one that plays nice with chaos.

Every React app should probably have a 'dont-use-use-effect' skill That explains why you might not need a useEffect, and what state/effect manager you use instead

how do you want to know where to move when you havent really lived in a place at least for a month or two? so its just a trial phase (with some time spending with family in germany in between) most places we'll stay at least 6 weeks in one apartment! and its just a trial phase to find our next long term place to stay (thats the whole reason why we do it)

@SakiSjoqvist @levelsio @grok Claude Code's sandbox feature uses OS-level restrictions in the background. But there is no mention of the IS_SANDBOX env var in the docs.

@levelsio @grok And IS_SANDBOX=1, is that an macOS sandbox or something built into Claude code?

This shortcut has helped me ship way way way faster, I've been using it manually before but now I just run every Claude Code bypassing permissions I was getting sick of answering endless questions and giving permissions, just do the job already I'm 100x faster now echo 'alias cc="IS_SANDBOX=1 claude --dangerously-skip-permissions"' >> ~/.bashrc source ~/.bashrc

More AI-coded fun things 📕 Yesterday I asked it to build an ePub and PDF generator for my book readmake.com I still update and write on it, but every time I had to print the book (it's HTML) as a PDF, and then open it in Calibre (a very annoying app) to export it to ePub (the format Kindle uses), super annoying process So I asked it to build something that would just generate it hourly, so it's always fresh, but it was so fast to generate, that then I thought, what if I just generate it on-the-fly when people download the book, and then what if I add a personal watermark with their name and email (kinda like copy protection), and it did that too This would have taken me days to build and perfect it but now this was just a few hours I'm really just racing through my todo list with AI, it's great

@csharpfritz @kristijan_kralj I don't even undestand how is PDF still relevant, a legacy format invented for printing pages consistently. The notion of a page is meaningless in a world where we rarely print documents.

You can build the fastest applications, target windows Mac or Linux, use the same language on the front end, back end and everywhere between to manage your application, you can even reuse code from 25 years ago.. And the problem with .NET is that you have to use someone else’s PDF library?

PDF is the main bottleneck of modern .NET development: 1. ASP .NET Core can handle thousands of requests per second, but exporting to PDF still means installing 3 NuGet packages, reading 5 GitHub issues, and hoping fonts don't explode in production. 2. We have async/await, background jobs, cloud autoscaling, and distributed systems, yet the moment the business says "Can we just get a small PDF with a table and a logo?" the whole sprint vanishes. 3. We can model complex domains, enforce invariants, and scale systems to millions of users, but aligning a table header in a PDF still feels like dark magic. .NET devs, know your enemies.

@mikekock @levelsio You can move around easily, and you pay taxes where you live (there are exceptions), not based on citizenship.

Stupid US guy here, who gets charged that given the ability to move around the EU? Or does your citizenship require you to pay regardless of where you live and is it difficult to change citizenship within the EU? And to think I thought "one time" 5% for California Billionaires was bad! haha

10x productivity tip: use Claude hooks with sounds so Claude alerts you when it finishes a task or needs permission. But that's not the tip, the tip is to add your favourite childhood game sounds like the Starcraft, Warcraft, or even Mario.

@kovacsamate Yes, context switching is difficult, so I try to run related tasks in parallel (e.g. one agent writes e2e tests while the other implements), or working on a complex tasks with my main agent, and let the parallel agents do smaller side quests that don't require much context.

@szelpe Usually two things: 1. Checking the in-between output, reading the code, trying to understand what is going on. 2. Doing a completely unrelated task. I tried but my mind cannot switch focus that quickly between the tasks to check multiple agents.

@SimonHoiberg I've read the news, and it seems to be about banning kids under 16 from social media. I don't see a huge issue with that though. Can you please point me to the right direction to understand the issues you see?
