Uber is set to make a investment up to $1.2B into Rivian over the next 5 years in the aim of “a scaled, fully-autonomous fleet of Rivian R2 robotaxis, which will be available exclusively through the Uber platform.”

Matching TSMC at its advanced node is insane. TSMC does 160K wafers/month at 3nm, and is ramp up to similar outputs at 2nm.

We’ve been able to generate physics-accurate, real-time video for self-driving training & testing at @Tesla_AI for a long time.
The compute required for this (roughly one H100 per HD camera) is still far too expensive for consumer use, but probably becomes affordable in 2 to 3 years.
