@ObviousRises Henry ford created the 5 day work week because he wanted to sell cars to his own workers. They needed the time off to justify the need for a car. It’s a win-win. Then the dodge brothers sued him for taking care of his workers instead of shareholders. That’s how we got here.

Literally the only reason we even have things like minimum wage, a 5-day workweek and workers rights is because during the industrial revolution workers revolted, burned down factories and dragged out business owners demanding basic rights/fair pay—something CEOs have forgotten.

You are already living in a socialist country. The left just wants to drop the disguise and go full communist. Look at the federal budget. The vast majority of the money you earn is confiscated and funneled into endless social services. We are currently funding housing, food, and healthcare for millions of people who have never contributed a single dime to the system. You work forty hours a week so someone else can stay home. This is not capitalism. It is a massive wealth redistribution scheme engineered to buy votes. We heavily penalize the people who actually produce value. We heavily reward the people who consume it. We punish the builders to subsidize the burdens. Eventually, the entire machine just grinds to a complete halt. Tell me I am wrong in the replies.
