@GovofCO How much is a balanced Colorado budget a result of Tabor? Perhaps a federal equivalent is too much to hope for.

I’m calling on Congress and the Trump Administration to stop punishing the American people, pass a balanced budget, and end the shutdown. From H.R.1, which strips people of their health care and drives up the deficit, to the President’s tariff taxes, and now allowing a federal shutdown, the majority in Washington is hurting hardworking Coloradans. We saw during the last federal shutdown how billions of dollars in economic activity were lost, workers went without paychecks, and businesses never fully recovered their potential income. Now Congress is once again playing chicken with livelihoods by risking health care, jobs, and economic security. It’s time for Congress and the Administration to pass a balanced budget like we do every year here in Colorado, and stop punishing hardworking families and individuals.

Grok has real-time access to info via the 𝕏 platform, which is a massive advantage over other models. It’s also based & loves sarcasm. I have no idea who could have guided it this way 🤷‍♂️ 🤣

This sextant looks like the product of an industrial society. Most people looking at it would think it was made in the 19th century at the earliest. Actually it was made in the 1760s, at the very start of the Industrial Revolution.

Shocking climate email: International Monetary Fund staffer explains why 2022 Nobel physics prize winner John Clauser was disinvited from making a climate presentation to the IMF. - @IPCC_CH will not tolerate debate - Not allowed to criticize the IPCC - Staffer who invited Clauser was fired - Paper showing no upward trend in extreme events withdrawn at request of @guardian journalist. Science is dead. Climate idiocy killed it.

This is the basic phenomenon that has been operational in commercial software for decades now. It's why companies don't write software like Emacs, or if they do, they release it as open source instead of trying to sell it. nothinghuman.substack.com/p/the-tyranny-…

@delbigtree The article isn't in a reputable journal, to put it mildly, and doesn't cite anything but Infowars (give me a break). There is one paper by Nagao in which they discuss four (4) people who experienced cytokine storms after boosters: #d=gs_qabs&t=1672868553318&u=%23p%3DsWOrtwm8w8EJ" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&… Big deal.

During Russia's New Year special on state TV, they openly addressed the West to say, "Like it or not, Russia is enlarging!" The rest of the clip should give you a general idea as to the mood in the studio.

@AlexEpstein @OpenAI unintended; going to take us some time to get all of this right (and it still requires more research). generally speaking, within very wide bounds we want to enable people get the behavior they want when using AI. will talk more about it in january!

Alarm: ChatGPT by @OpenAI now *expressly prohibits arguments for fossil fuels*. (It used to offer them.) Not only that, it excludes nuclear energy from its counter-suggestions. @sama, what is the reason for this policy?

@alexandr_wang Whether that argument is any good or not I don't know, but it seems to me that the majority of parents are themselves "normies" (else the term has no meaning) and would probably like nothing more than to have normie children. There is something to be said for that, after all.

I’m not a parent nor a child development expert… But it does seem like the best way to avoid having Normie kids is to allow them to play video games …and it’s definitely the best way to get them interested in computers Why do parents crusade against video games so much?

@PeterSweden7 Who the hell didn't know that?--at least in essence. Everyone knew at least that it involved a new technique and everyone remotely educated knows that involves risks. People I know took it because they didn't want to die of Covid or cause someone they love to die of Covid.

How many of those that took Pfizer and Moderna were aware that they actually used a new technology with no long term safety data that injects synthetic mRNA code that instructs the body to produce synthetic spike protein?

Joe Biden recently said that no other industry has the kind of immunity to litigation like the gun manufacturing business. Apparently he forgot little guys like Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J who could not be reached for comment… OR SUED!!!
