@HandRick66864 😎 I know he misses being around family. I think that is the hardest part for him. He does have a really good circle of friends though. He went 14 months w/o seeing us. Glad there's video chat now! Letters would not be the same.

@thotchkiss13 Many paths to pursue if he sticks around. When I retired from the Navy after 27 years they asked me to stick around as a civilian supervisor. I did another 15 years and got another retirement check.

I had a beard on my first US Navy deployment. Anybody on here that old?

I’m at a loss for words today. I’d like to say this more eloquently: my mom passed away and went to her heavenly home yesterday, exactly five weeks after we lost my wife. I’m doing okay, but my sister is struggling—she’s lost her best friend (my wife) and her mom in such a short time.RIP. 1931-2026

No one will read this, but sometimes, whenever I eat M&Ms, I like to hold two M&Ms between my fingers and squeeze them as hard as I can until one breaks. I eat the cracked one, and the one that didn't crack becomes the champion. Then I take the other m&m and force it to compete with the champion in this deadly gladiator game of m&m. I do this until I run out of m&m's, and when there is only one m&m left standing, I send a letter to the m&m's brand with the m&m champion and a note attached that says, "Use this m&m for breeding purposes."

So far this week for my business I've: - Read and continue to read suggestions and comments! - Secured business insurance - Built a simple website and made it live - Created a Facebook presence along with joining a ton of FB communities - Set up a google business profile for reviews and presence - Ordered business cards and door hangars - Put business vinyl signs on my truck and trailer - Secured a landscape job and a junk removal job Now, I just need more work to pay for all of that lol
