To all the Slay the Spire 2 fans that like my tweets and thoughts on the game, I'm also a YouTuber. Tomorrow I'm releasing my PowerPoint about Ironclad. You may have seen my PowerPoints about Balatro in the past, so if you enjoyed those I hope you'll enjoy this one.

@Sylvemon i’ve dreamed of a digimon deckbuilder roguelike based off digimon tamers with digimodify and branching evolutions, it just makes so much sense

howwww have they not made a Digimon roguelike yet? The concept writes itself. Start as a baby Digimon, being able to unlock others, and unlock different digivolution paths as you play.

Someone in my chat recommended I check out Slay the Spire 2 since it recently came out and that "a TFT player like you would probably like it" ... I played it for 11 hours straight 😭

My opinion is that Set 16, Lore and Legends, is the best set of all time. 1. The unlock mechanic sounded overwhelming at first and could be annoying (fuck Kennen), but overall was very simple to learn and accessible. 2. Set 16 featured some of the most fun unique gameplay traits/units TFT has ever seen. Ixtal, Bilgewater, and Ryze to name just a few standouts. 3. One really underrated part of Set 16 is how many units do fun callback to multiple abilities from their League counterparts. This used to be reserved for just a couple 5-costs per set, but this set we saw really cool 2-part abilities from so many champions including Ambessa, Ahri, Diana, Miss Fortune, Seraphine, etc. My personal favorites here were Lux, Yasuo, and Thresh. 4. Most of the verticals this set offered new effects instead of just "the same stats, but more" that was the baseline throughout TFT history. Bilgewater gained new items at 7, Demacia gained Smite, Freljord gained stun, and of course Yordle, Noxus, Piltover, and Zaun all gained unique effects too. 5. While verticals were improved, the overall single biggest improvement for engaged/hardcore players in Set 16 is actually the shift away from verticals entirely. Since 2 piece and 3 piece traits gained a lot of power, building trait webs became much more rewarding. 6. Along with #5, especially when emblems became much more desirable recently by giving stats, we get to play with unique, creative boards much more often. 7. Splashable legendaries also contribute to being able to flex more different board combinations and actually play most legendaries when you highroll them as well. This usually wasn't the case, for example in Set 15, a Varus wasn't really useful unless you already had Wraith/Sniper. 8. Homogenized PvE drops. There of course is still variance in the game where you lose placements when you take an item augment then everyone gets 8 components from a Prismatic Orb, but overall there is MUCH less than previous sets. 9. Augment distribution (and balance) has been massively improved. We will never stop complaining about our augments, but overall Set 16 gave us a significantly improved distribution of augment types. We are almost never offered "untakeable" teamwide combats on 2-1, etc. When I made my 2-1 augment tier list in Set 7, there were almost as many augments in F tier as every other tier combined (e.g., Ragewing Heart, First Aid Kit, etc.) Nowadays, the worst 2-1 augments I can think of probably still don't make F tier (Secret of the Sands, Prismatic Spoils of War, etc.). 10. Using basically any objective metric, unit/trait balance ranks as #1/16 in overall. Of course it will never be perfect (we had an AP dark age after Paris, etc.), but the vast majority of the units in the set could be found on 1st place boards in major tournaments on any patch. Zaun has probably been the most absent throughout the set, but even Zaun still at least held some spotlights. We have a big mixup coming for Regionals/Worlds but so far Set 16 is unrivaled. I was not paid by Riot Games to write this

@CLE_TFT @CompeteTFT @Gangly_ @wasianiverson what edge do you think have on other players in the same tier as you? is it meta/patch dependent? what are things you’re still trying to improve on and have seen progress on in recent sets?
