@TOTPFacts No, they avoided it before but now regularly do it. I generally enjoy the 1976 episodes - ah, Sue - but not when we get Save Your Sodding Kisses multiple times in succession 🤢
#TOTP
@modonnell49@TOTPFacts In the late 90s TOTP had acts on consecutive weeks even if they were going down the charts. One reason for this was the fact that singles entered the charts high and then dropped the following week.
@TOTPFacts Unless a song was number one it wasn’t on TOTP on consecutive weeks. When repeats are shown, particularly from the 1970s some weeks will be skipped because of who the presenter was.
We have another classic ITV drama coming soon to Rewind TV 📺
It used to be introduced by this classic ident.
Can you guess which series it is? 🧐

What a gem of a channel BBC Four really is.
This week they are showing episodes of 'This Is Your Life' and a programme about Desert Island Discs in which they chat to Roy Plomley.
Such a shame ITV don't do similar with ITV3 or ITV4.
The BBC and ITV have amazing archives!
@soult My record shop used to be opposite the side of Woolworths, on a few occasions staff would come across to me and ask me to go up the lift tower and close the outside door which often used to blow open in strong winds, because they were too scared to go on the roof!
Stopping off at #AshbydelaZouch on the way home from Tamworth. From the front, you would be unlikely to guess that Costa is the former Woolworths, though from the side you can see the distinctive lift tower!
The ident logos of the 15 #ITV companies, serving 14 regions ... 1968-1981 (HTV provided a split service for Wales and 'West' respectively, each with separate production programmes)
@StanFranks3@YesterdaysBrit1 We had one here in my home town of Ashby de la Zouch. As kids we tried to push all the buttons at once to get as many lights on at once!
@YesterdaysBrit1 The town centre of Morpeth in the early 70s had a public town map on the pavement. You had a row of buttons under it and when you pressed one a light would glow on a point on the map to show you where you are in relation to it. Did other towns have the same ?
@Rob_Lubbock@itvanglia One of the three remaining ITV franchises still in their original studio buildings. The others being Yorkshire and the old HTV West studio in Bristol.
