First grade students were treated to a book tasting where they “sampled” books while dressed as chefs. Once students were “stuffed” w literary delights, each chose 2 free books as their own. Thanks @IntlPaperCo & @RIFWEB for placing books in the hands of our students!

Our One Book, One School initiative was a great success! Each class read The Sour Grape by @IamJoryJohn and completed SEL activities on topics such as forgiveness, thankfulness and letting go of anger. Reading & life are pretty sweet! @PBC_Elementary

4th graders @PBC_Elementary are combining curiosity about the recent solar eclipse with LEGO robotics. Working in groups to build and program a LEGO rover, they navigate the moon’s surface to reach NASA’s lunar camera. With the code, students hope to help NASA retrieve images from the eclipse.

Way to go, Garrett!!
