@Default_X_User @PCMtnAlert I was thinking the same thing. We were there the last 5 days and I promise you there was nowhere that had 5 feet of snow. They are also lying about how much they are getting. Said 8 inches last tues/wed but on Thursday we saw lots of bare spots, even pretty high up.

@tomloveless99 @Ed_Realist The mean for a cohort of students grows consistently until about 4th grade and then it falls off. My guess is it demonstrates that few students become proficient at what they learn. I.E. a 10th grader still scoring around 230 is missing easy questions.

That's not how percentiles work. A 12th grader who scores at the 99th percentile in math probably knows calculus. A 3rd grader scoring at the 99th percentile probably knows long division.

@TheCrimsonBison Nah...he sounds like every other coach. They all say things like that. Rah rah...Cig's speech was different. It displayed a bravado and confidence that was abnormal. Now that we have seen it backed up that speech combined with the google me comment are legendary.

@MitchM_Invest @kevinroose I live in Indianapolis. My social circle is very educated, pretty affluent, and science minded. Very few have used AI enough to carry on even a surface conversation about it. And most of the time it is about weird things AI has done.

i follow AI adoption pretty closely, and i have never seen such a yawning inside/outside gap. people in SF are putting multi-agent claudeswarms in charge of their lives, consulting chatbots before every decision, wireheading to a degree only sci-fi writers dared to imagine. people elsewhere are still trying to get approval to use Copilot in Teams, if they're using AI at all. it's possible the early adopter bubble i'm in has always been this intense, but there seems to be a cultural takeoff happening in addition to the technical one. not ideal!

@stmcgee Why can’t everyone just admit that the reason for success is that Cignetti has a gift for talent evaluation. Not money or age or weird new plays. Not signal stealing ffs. Just really good understanding of athletic ability

I buy into the philosophy that your S&C coach is the second most important guy on your football staff. I trust Cignetti’s coaching evaluation. The guy never misses.

I like the idea of giving your Heisman trophy winner a chance to win the game with a first down there, but I also think IU was confident they could keep Georgia in front of them if they didn't have to worry about Fletcher. Which is exactly what happened.

@bkravitz The difference is Butler wasn't the definitive best team in college basketball like IU was this year in football. Especially the second year. They were great teams that got hot two years in a row in March.

I think the fact they went to back to back finals is up there. The difference being A) Butler had some previous success and B) it’s easier to turn around the fortunes of a basketball team. It’s a great debate

Still trying to figure out how Indiana football's roster is ruining the sport with 24 year olds. - 16 starters who are in their 4th year of eligibility or less - 11 guys who were recruited by IU as HS or JUCO players - 5 guys who came with Cignetti from JMU #NeverDaunted

@mattster24 @CrimsonCast By eligibility...but three years post high school. His year at "Navy" is actually their prep school. But Ndwuke should be on there now ahead of Wyatt/Daley and he is a True Soph.
