@nealjclark1 I like working with my hands I hate anything that resembles schoolwork
English

I don’t know if it’s generational or genetic but I don’t understand this hatred for WORK. I’ve liked every job I’ve ever had. I like working and I don’t even care about the money that much. Maybe commies and hippies convinced generations of people that work is the Devil

My parents never encouraged me to work in high school. I remember talking to my dad about summer jobs and he said, “Why would you want to do that? You will have the rest of your life to work.”

@OrevaZSN @AlanaFeral Nobody has ever suffered under communism

@blockhead4000 You should watch redbar radio if you haven’t already

@GodCloseMyEyes Why does nightmare always say “Moldovan” but moldovan never says “Nightmare”?

@revenant_MMXX He’s just stating facts here not saying you should move to one of these places.

@meatheadmusings I just physically assaulted an intellectual the other day. He knows better than to use a condescending tone next time. Remarkably freeing feeling. Who cares if I’ve never read infinite jest

Strong Peasant Maxxing is infinitely preferable to the Aristocrat-LARP. I’ve thought long & hard (lol) on this, to ensure this isn’t backfilled justification.
You must realize: if I’m in a conversation with a financially successful, well-bred man I always feel in complete control. And more, I feel the weight of my physical power and what it means.
If it’s me and him in a room, the outcome is ultimately up to me. If I raise my voice, they begin to shrink. If I decided, at any time, to not play by the rules of society whatever I wish to happen, will happen. Power is power, ultimately.
This freedom of action (admittedly, with consequence) is one of the most freeing feelings I’ve ever had. At any time, upon my will, I can exert incredible control on almost anyone.
A terribly and wickedly powerful peasant. Must never forget.

@Bobbythirdway @SlumRNA_Dog Wait I thought he made the knives
English

@Empty_America Sir people are telling me that your hand made knives are made in Pakistan is this true?
English

@Avgolemeno @Bobbythirdway @SlumRNA_Dog I met a guy who did that. I told him I was a carpenter and he immediately asked if I wanted to pick his brain because he made knives. I thought that was odd and later found out he didn’t even make the knives himself.
English

@unclemickey504 @Bobbythirdway @SlumRNA_Dog No, man - he’s basically on the same grift as the Wasson watches guy. Doesn’t actually from-scratch anything.
English

You live in rural New Mexico and drop ship knives from Pakistan. You’re hardly an authority on who is “born to lose”.
VB Knives@Empty_America
Crazy that the usual suspects on here were *seething* about that kid selling some rugs. Some people were just born to lose, they will end up as that kid's servants at best.

@ughitssummer Start with down the block and work your way out from there

We are winning on all fronts at the moment. Just goes to show that demoralization ops on here aren't reflective of political reality and are in fact almost an inverse barometer.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
