With my Mrs still fighting for her life in Wythenshawe ICU, the 90 Minutes escape watching City is a godsend to me, not been to a game since before this happened, but have caught most on TV or just following the game, I would relegate us to non league, just to get her home though 💙

@SamLee @CityFan0909 Disagree there. I thought second half we sat back and looked tired. Glad we had the cushion of the first leg and Newcastle didn’t take any chances. Similar to spurs last weekend and we can’t afford that this weekend.

Other than the two calamitous errors from the centre-backs that have led to Newcastle getting the ball in extremely dangerous areas, there has been no sign of City's second-half struggles on the night

Haaland is undisputedly the best striker this world has. The most talented number 9 I’ve seen in decades. But I can’t deny it, City play some unbelievable football when he’s not starting.

@Londonblue_2 Defo, after that decision, they had a proper go and it’s good they had the extra time in the cup as the added time they had could have been crucial. Love how pep handled it in his interview. He also seems to have got his appetite back.

@wards7 They were. But the point I’m making is decision aside, it can change the momentum at an away ground where we’ve worked so hard to quieten the crowd. Then it gives that extra time boost which can be detrimental. The psychological impact is understated imo.

The big thing about VAR that lots don’t grasp, these drawn out decisions at somewhere like SJP completely change the flow, atmosphere & momentum of a match. Taking 6 minutes to rule out a decision then gives the oppo an edge & the bonus of a boost when the board goes up with 9.
