The matter eventually reached her family, following which a police complaint was lodged with the support of Hindu organisations. Both accused have been arrested, and a SIT has been constituted to probe the case. The SIT will also examine whether other girls were similarly targeted and whether the accused used blackmail involving previous victims to establish contact. A grim reminder of the 1992 Ajmer rape scandal, only the setting has changed, while the methods and intent remains the same. Once again, parents, watch out, stay vigilant, and protect your children. Children may appear mentally mature for their age to you to let them have freedom, but emotionally they are most vulnerable during adolescence.
