Congress must pass the PAUSE Act and codify President Trump's administrative reforms into law. However, there's also more to be done by the Executive branch; President Trump can and should end the OPT authorization, which was not created by Congress and which floods the job market with tax-advantaged foreign competitors. The recent graduates of Generation Z face an employment crisis in large part because of OPT. Over 1 million foreign students are currently in the United States, eligible for OPT. President Trump's $100k fee for H-1B visas does not apply to applicants inside the US on OPT. Vice President @JDVance: please help us fix this problem in its entirety to deliver real relief for American workers!

H Res 965 is backdoor amnesty for hundreds of thousands of Haitians who came into our country illegally. It is an abject disgrace and a shameful betrayal of everything Republicans ran on in 2024. All conservatives should vehemently rejected it. Unfortunately, the bill was just discharged on the House floor with 219 votes. We will vote on final passage of the bill tomorrow.
