@sportswithjohn By the way it is standard practice to screen and treat seriously injured players on the pitch rather than trying to stretcher them off a quickly as possible, which used to be the protocol

@sportswithjohn This is the reason that the voluntary stretcher team at AFC Wimbledon turned out for training regularly to learn how to deal with these type of injuries. Fantastic support from the medics and staff until we returned to Plough Lane. Good luck to any injured player now.

Delighted to discover that a year after signing our lease on the pub, our freeholder landlord has filed their 3rd planning application to redevelop the site + put flats above, this time fully going for it: Demolition of existing site with a pub underneath 3 stories of 6 flats.

It is infuriating to rebuild & reestablish a community site, invest huge amounts of personal energy, sweat, time, money & family effects (much of my grandparents furniture) into something, to watch it grow & reaffirm itself as an embedded local social hub only to be demolished.
