Love him or hate him, @elonmusk was the last symbol of rationality around Trump, and someone who was able to draw some kind of centrist support. The big concern with Elon ostracised is that Trump will now get dragged closer into the orbit of his whackiest advisors and lurch even further to his most destructive extremes

He’s back . And he’s doing exactly what he said he would . Executive orders to expand drilling in the Alaskan wilderness , the guise of a ‘National Energy Emergency’ to slash red tape and regulation for fossil fuel companies , and the withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement . Yes it’s a set back . A major one . But we cannot give up . Not now , not ever .
In the UK I’m campaigning for a ban on fossil fuel advertising and sponsorship , because for too long these companies have had largely unlimited £££ to greenwash their filthy reputations . No more .

@descartesbeard You're suggesting that such a role within an organisation is pointless unless they're a leader? That's a bit of an insult to all the other employees isn't it?

It is rare to see direct clashes at COPs. But we just witnessed one at today's plenary at #COP28, when Saudi Arabia's plea to focus on adaptation & emissions instead of fossil fuels was followed by this remarkable statement by Colombia (my transcription). But see for yourselves..
