So , as much as I hate the Green Party, I’m actually really pro-environment and going green where we can. So this is genuine question (maybe @SeanMacGiollaC can jump in?) For years now I’ve been doing no mow till May. Not a single extra 🐝 to be seen. Just longer ugly winter grass. This year, we had a garden party last week in Aprilish. Ms Fox made me give in and cut the grass. I left it couple weeks after that and the most amazing colours have appeared. I’ve a garden full of daisies and buttercups and in the last weeks it’s full of 🐝 and even lots of 🦋 thatI Deffo haven’t seen since I was a kid. From what I can see, long winter grass with no flowers hasn’t helped. But an early cut then letting it grow allowed the lower lying flowering weeds to break through unsmothered by the long grass!! Are Greens yet again giving bad advice on no mow till May???
