The Suffolk County Sheriff - who has jurisdiction over Boston- was just taken into custody for corruption charges. A Boston City Councilor is expected to be sentenced to jail time in a few short weeks. Numerous officials within the @MayorWu administration have been arrested over the past several months - many of them facing felony charges. This statement from @wutrain is not grounded in reality. #mapoli #bospoli

.@MayorWu is quoted as saying: “Unlike the Trump administration, Boston follows the law.” The point is that multiple elected officials and direct appointees of elected officials in Boston do not follow the law, and, therefore, the statement by @wutrain is inaccurate. Both Tompkins and Anderson were arrested as the result of FEDERAL investigations.

Wu called on Kraft to make his tax returns public to reveal any potential conflicts of interest, which he should. We are calling on Wu to release and disclose her potential conflicts of interest via her stockholdings in Rockland Trust. Wu’s tax returns aren’t public - all that is available is a Boston Globe summary of what they determined to be pertinent information for voters. We think how much stake the Mayor has in Rockland Trust - a company that does significant financial transactions with/within the City of Boston - is information that should be disclosed.

Today, I heard from a large # of city workers justifiably angry that they won’t receive their paychecks on time. These include first responders & many others who’ll be working over the holiday weekend to keep our city safe and clean. It’s an unacceptable management failure to not pay city workforce on time, especially those living paycheck to paycheck due to the high cost of living in Boston.
