@Indianinfoguide Misal pav is one of the most tasteless, mediocre dish that nobody likes outside Maharashtra

@WokePandemic In India, these days, it's best to avoid crowded places. Resources are invariably stretched.

“The most shocking part is that payments and lease transactions are on record, but there is no physical or documentary proof of the ducts themselves.” — Sunil Mane.
A major political controversy has erupted in Pune after Sunil Mane alleged a ₹26,000-crore scam in the city’s underground cable project. He accused the Pune Municipal Corporation, contractors and MAHAPREIT of serious procedural lapses.
Mane claimed that while payments and lease transactions are officially recorded, there is no physical or documentary proof that the underground ducts actually exist. He also questioned whether two mandatory ducts ordered in 2021 were ever built.
According to Mane, Pune still has nearly 36,000 km of illegal overhead cables. He alleged that if proper penalties had been collected, the civic body could have earned between ₹13,000 crore and ₹14,000 crore, taking the total estimated loss to ₹26,000 crore.
Mane has demanded a full investigation and asked for all related documents, contracts and inspection reports to be made public.

@sujit2809 @sudhirmehtapune Original Punekars rejected helmet on head. Area with educated outsiders are more discipline than any area of original Pune. Ask gov to give us wfh we will happily develop our city
English

Pune isn’t “facing traffic”—it’s losing traffic sense. And that’s far more dangerous.
We’ve gone from a city known for discipline to one where:
• Signals are “suggestions”
• Wrong-side driving is normalised
• Footpaths are parking lots
• Honking replaces patience
This isn’t infrastructure failure alone. It’s a collapse of civic behaviour.
Every rider jumping a signal saves 30 seconds…
…and costs the city hours in chaos.
Every car on the wrong side says: “My time matters more than yours.”
And slowly, that becomes the culture.
No amount of flyovers will fix this.
No smart city tech will solve this.
Because this is not a road problem.
It’s a mindset problem.
Pune doesn’t need just better roads.
It needs better discipline.
👉 Enforce rules strictly
👉 Penalise consistently
👉 Educate relentlessly
But most importantly—
👉 नागरिकों को खुद बदलना होगा
👉 नागरिकांनी स्वतः बदलायला हवे
A great city isn’t built by projects alone.
It’s built by the behaviour of its people.
Right now, Pune is at a tipping point.
We either restore order…
Or accept chaos as our identity.

@sudhirmehtapune Pune has already gone past the tipping point. There is no coming back. Traffic is affecting quality of life and so is garbage, dust n pollution, road rage, lack of civic sense, lawlessness, no fear of law. Water crisis is next.

@yash_mody @DocRGM_ Common sense ki baat hee nahi hai. This is how corruption takes place. They buy things at massively inflated prices and get kick backs.
