Why am I the only person who thinks this way? Every rocket, space shuttle, etc., has that same trajectory! And it’s not up and away!

@GKaljian @gecffmn But you cant fly straight to it. You arent moving in a straight line, you are raising your orbit. Everything is ellipsis. The Earth's gravity always curves your trajectory. If you had enough energy to break earth orbit then you'd still be in orbit around the sun

@ContractorDirty @gecffmn Even if a rocket flew straight to the moon without orbiting the earth first, you would still see a similar effect because of the speed of the rotation of the earth. The earth spins at 1,040.6 mph.

@GKaljian @gecffmn Yes the first astronauts, Blue Origin, and missiles among other things, use ballistic trajectories. Why then did you say that Artemis went to the moon, not to orbit? Did you not know the moon orbited the earth or are you just trying to troll?

Not everything is "in orbit." The first astronauts didn't go into orbit because they lacked the speed necessary to achieve it. If it was desired a rocket could go straight to a foreign celestial object without ever going into orbit, but these moon flights orbit the earth before leaving in order to run system checks and to set a precise trajectory to the moon.

I thought there would have been wall to wall coverage and great camera shots for the moon mission by NASA to prove everyone wrong about them faking everything. But apparently all we get is a visualization of what it might look like.. This isn't helping NASA's case at all.

I don't think the Earth is flat either, but I don't spend all day screaming about it. And NASA lies all the time about absolutely everything, so that's why NASA's missions have zero credibility and it's why people are right to question everything from the get-go.
